Thank you so much!! Holy moly these pieces are gorgeous! How do you know so much about them? It’s hard to find information on the internet about them. I appreciate you taking the time to reply! They start at €300,000+ for clips with even the smallest Traditional Mystery Setting, and then it goes exponentially upwards the bigger the area of the Mystery Set. And then the newer Mystery Settings like Navette (the ones that look like scales/armor)

and Vitrail (the ones that look like stained glass windows) are more expensive even if small.

SAs will happily show them to you, though, even if you're not buying. They like people who admire high jewelry creations.

Those are stunning! And the newer techniques are so creative. Someday it would be nice to see one in person! They start at €300,000+ for clips with even the smallest Traditional Mystery Setting, and then it goes exponentially upwards the bigger the area of the Mystery Set. Incredible! And DEFINITELY out of my price range! You’d need bodyguards if you wore it!View attachment 6103943
These are from the Treasure Island collection. I've been told both have sold (though they might make more of the ship to order?). The one of the sea with the fish in the vitrail style was something like $1.3 million! Gorgeous! Sorry the picture is so huge, I'm new at this and don't know how to make it a normal size![]()
How beautiful! I've never seen it with sapphires, only with rubies. The ruby version in the US (currently $349,000) is my favorite between the finger ring. It's probably a good thing the ones I've seen are too small, since it really doesn't fit in the budgetNot a clip, but I've seen and tried on the ring. The price is about USD300,000 converted from my currency.

The one on the left is not Mystery Set. They are just regular, claw-set, brilliant cut diamonds on openwork white gold, as you can see on the corners of each diamond.View attachment 6103943

Oops, sorry, I wasn't clear. Both of the pieces are from the Treasure Island collection. The one on the right (the sea with the fish) was with the vitrail setting which is what I was trying to show. I couldn't figure out how to break up the photo from the link I was copying from to only include that one pieceThe one on the left is not Mystery Set. They are just regular, claw-set, brilliant cut diamonds on openwork white gold, as you can see on the corners of each diamond.
As far as I know, the only Mystery Set technique applied to diamonds is the Navette, because VCA found out that Traditional Mystery Set applied to diamonds causes what they call a "black effect", wherein the rails are showing through (because diamonds are clear).

More info (including a video) of the Pomme de Pin clip here. Apparently it took 10 years to design and make, and 5 of those years were just looking for matching emeralds. 4500 hours of work in total.
It was indeed a stunning piece @meemeetoo! The ruby version must have been absolutely breathtaking. At $349,000, it’s definitely a dream-worthy masterpiece! How beautiful!
