It would sound something "mi-kit-a" with the "mi" sounding like the "mi" in miss." I believe the emphasis would be on the first syllable as well, but someone might correct me on that.
 
It's actually a combination of the English "my" and German "kita", the abbreviation for the word "kindertagesstätte", a day-care center for kids.

So it sounds like my-kee-ta with the second syllable emphasized.
