I’ve always loved the BBags but have never owned one until today. My love goes back probably 20years. My local designer consignment store posted a pic of a green City the other day, so I popped in for a look, knowing I’d never buy that particular colour. I was surprised to see a beautiful blue city in stock too. My fave colour! I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so went back in today and brought it home. It came with an authentication certificate.
I believe it’s a 2012 model, but I can’t work out the colour name? Can anyone help? I’ve read through the info posts but it’s just not clear to me.
And I’ve posted a couple of pics showing some wear on the corners. I’m ok with it, but would it be an ok idea to use some blue tinted leather cream to cover them up a little? I think I’m going to buy some Apple Leather conditioner to treat it.
One last question, do any of you use bag shaper inserts?
Thank you for reading 😊🌻

Your bag is 2012 F/W Jacynte color.
I would clean & hydrate the leather first of all to see what it feels like before trying any modification.

Congrats on your first and most likely not last Balenciaga! All the pretty colors are highly addictive!
Yours looks to me like 2012 Bluette, but I could be wrong. 🫣
You can find photos of that color online. For some odd reason it's not pictured in our library.
I would clean and then condition the leather first. Lots of folks here swear by leather CPR. But be careful with the handles. Cleaning them carefully should be fine, but I wouldn't put any lotion on them.
A bag insert is a good idea if you wish to give the bag some sort of structure. But most here LOVE and NEED the slouch.
A base shaper may work better to prevent sagging, if that's not your thing.

Thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate it. Lots to learn! 💐
As earswithfeet says it’s Bluette, excuse me for the mistake..
I was confused by this one which shares exact color code with Bluette
Listing says Jacynthe though. Probably it was wrong listed..
