My V-line, Zygoma, Genio and Faceliftsurgery at BRAUN (11-11-2022)

thanks for sharing your experience! although i didnt choose the same clinic as you, i had brian too and had a good experience. may i ask what procedure did you do exactly for your eyes and where was cut (if it was). thank you!
Glad you chose the clinic YOU felt was good for you. Not every clinic/every surgeon is right for every individual imo.

I asked for the almond eye surgery (lateral/tilt improvement). I specifically asked the surgeon to avoid a dramatic fox look, and he did so well.

My outer corners of the eyes were cut.

Has anyone had their rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Lee Ji Won from Braun? I would like to get a dermis rather than silicone and I'm not finding a lot of reviews from patients that didn't use silicone. I reached out to Braun for rhinoplasty and double eyelid surgery and got quoted 9.1 million krw. Is that a normal price or is it super inflated? Please help!!
Yeap, I had just gotten my rhinoplasty with Dr Lee Ji Won from Braun a week ago! I'll be posting an in-depth review this coming week.

He had used a silicone for my bridge, but had layered on with donor dermis for a natural look!

I had previously gotten all my info on Braun's plastic surgery from their YouTube channel - which had been very useful in my assurance with the clinic. This one gives you an idea on all you need to know about Rhinoplasty with Braun!
Q&A with my plastic surgeon at Braun (with Mei)

Also, I think what they've quoted you sounds about right! I did ask for a quote on Rhinoplasty, Facial Contouring, and droopy eyelid surgery, Nd it does seem consistent to what they've quoted you!

Hope this helps

FIRST WEEK IN SK: CONSULTATIONS, MONEY AND… SURGERY!
Brian arranged consultations on my request in that first week of my arrival. All of them in one day. He translated so well, so calmly, that the day flew by.

At the end of that day, it was so clear to me what clinic I would choose that I asked Brian to book a surgery date asap. I made the decisions all on my own, after speaking to the surgeons themselves. The sooner the surgery, the more healing time I would have.
I asked Brain to help me exchange money, because I had all my savings in cash with me. I thought we were just going to visit one place. But Brian actually took me to several banks to check out the best rate at the time! He picked out the best, which saved me quite some money!

CONSULTATION AT 345
The first consultation was at 345 Clinic. Online they had the best ‘attitude’ and answered all of my questions so well. I wasn’t surprised therefore to see that everything was so well organized in the clinic itself. There was a CT-scan immediately after filling in forms.
A friendly and patient consultant took the time to talk me through procedures and asked me to sketch out what I wanted. I felt respected.

Dr. Park knew what he was talking about and gave me a very detailed description of my skull. The thickness of my bones. What could and could not be achieved. And what he, aesthetically speaking, found the most suitable for my face. His English was incredible good and he was kind.

Dr. Park is said to be conservative, which I liked. Last thing I need is a surgeons promising me things that are going to make me unhappy long term.

CONSULTATION AT BRAUN
A couple of people in the private chatgroup already had surgery the month before at Braun, so I knew what their results were like. And I knew their experiences at Braun.

First impression was that there were many locals at Braun. The look and feel was youthful, stylish and hip. A nice looking clinic is not what convinces me and I really wanted to stay neutral until I had spoken to the doctor.

Well, to my surprise, I got to speak to 3 surgeons! The talks were not that long, but so incredibly clear. They all took the time to listen and answer my questions. They did not only answer with words or CT-scans, but also with animation of what they were going to do.
Dr. Kim Tae-Gyu explained to me what I really wanted so clear that I was a bit speechless. I tested him a bit by asking how he would solve the ‘sagging’ problem. So to answer that question, dr Lee came in. Telling me how a dual plane lift would not only prevent sagging, but also solved other minor problems. (For those who did not know, I am already in my forties, so a facelift after V-line sooner or later had to be done anyway).

I just randomly had a question about what would be possible with my eyes. For that, their eye specialist dr. Wu came to see me. I think he is one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met. But apart from that, I had seen results from the private group chat, and they were stunning. So I asked him what techniques he used. He explained. And then asked me: “What do you want?”

I said I wanted an eye shape that matched my face better. I had a preference for a more almond shaped eye. But since I have fairly round eyes, I wasn’t sure he could help me. He explained what was possible and I had to think about it.
Thank you for sharing your experience, I've been looking up a lot about SK ps surgeries and your posts are so helpful!

SOME (BUDGET)TIPS I WOULD HAVE GIVEN MYSELF BEFORE ENTERING SOUTH KOREA

1. Buying a PILL GRINDER was an excellent idea! I could not open my mouth well the first few days, had a sore throat from the general anesthesia and could not chew. Life saver!

2. Budget tip! Right next to Apgujeong station is Braun and many, many other big clinics as well. On the other side of the road there is the South Korean version of the American ‘Dollar Tree’: DAISO. Man, they had everything. Last minute I found out I needed a sleeveless top to wear under my surgery clothes. For just about a dollar, I got a good quality top. For less than a dollar I bought q-tips and tissue boxes and small interdental brushes which you will need after surgery.

3. I am glad I did not buy that expensive unlimited data plan from the airport for my phone. This might be completely different for you. In my case: I had superfast FREE WIFI in my Airbnb. But mind you, DO GET AT LEAST A KOREAN SIM PREPAID. For 26 USD I ordered a prepaid sim from Trazy with a small plan. I could top it up whenever I wanted. I used it for a cab on the first day to get to my AirBnb from Seoul Station and to call the host I was on my way. Also, you will need a Korean phone number if you apply for a Visa or K-ETA before you enter.
4.Good thing I brought my blender (do not take it in your carry on luggage because a blade is not allowed in the plane). But what I should have done is checked out where to buy fresh fruit. You will find 7-elevens and good restaurants everywhere, but not fresh fruit and veggies unless you look for it. Brian showed me a few neat small fruit and veggie stalls that were affordable. Because of my allergies and desire to recover fast I’m on a ‘clean’ diet 90% of the time, so this was a life saver.

5. Hire a guide (with a lot of good reviews) from Airbnb for about 22 dollars if you are alone and this is your first time there. On the first day I hired a great guide who showed me around the best places. I did not know South Korea had so many Michelin star restaurants that are so incredibly affordable and healthy. My guide took me to a very traditional restaurant where you had your own space! It was a healthy 7-course meal, custom made to fit my diet, for only 30 USD.The only stupid thing is that I forgot the name. But in one word: amazing.
I’m very new to TPF and looking into plastic surgery in Korea as well. Your post was so helpful and I’m so glad I found it! Would it be okay if I asked you some questions through a PM or in KKT?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I got sagging in the lower part of my face after V line surgery done 5 years ago and I am looking to have a lower facelift. How does your facelift surgery scars are healing so far? Would you mind sharing a photo here or in private? Thank you.
