my tiffany ss necklace wth?

I went to tiffany's a few months ago and got hagerty silver dip to clean my ss pieces. the tiffany sa assured me it was perfectly safe and they use it on the display pieces in the store. I clean my heart tag necklace following the directions and put it back in its pouch. i take it out to wear it today and it is quite tarnished all of a sudden! i dont know what happened here.

Did you rinse it off completely ? With the silver dip, if you don't give it a good rinse, it will keep on eating away at the silver.
