I’ve been eyeing on a VCA piece for so long! Like, over 5 years! I’m someone who has to do their research and there’s no stores near me so I’ve had to stalk the VCA forum for the longest time. Finally ordered my very first piece as a birthday present for myself.

(Miley Cyrus did say we could buy our own flowers, right? And in my case I bought my own clover lol)

I knew for my first piece I would want all solid gold. As beautiful as the stone pieces are, I know I just wouldn’t take my jewelries on and off as I should; even if it was a hardier stone like Onyx or Carnelian. I was eyeing on the hammered gold. Debated between the sweet and vintage. I’m 5’1, petite frame. Decided to order the sweet size in the end. And honestly, when I first unboxed the piece I thought, “wow this is a lot smaller than I thought, maybe I should’ve gotten the vintage.” But after wearing this piece for awhile I’m happy that I stuck with the sweet. I thought the sweet give off more of a feminine vibe (on me since I’m so small).

In the future though, I would love to add a Vintage Pendant in maybe MOP, Grey MOP, or Tiger Eye so I could stack them together. If you have the sweet stacked with a vintage, please post pics, would loveee to see the combo on you! :)

I have this same necklace! Yours looks great on you! I like your stack.

I was surprised at how much I loved it, and honestly, now that I have the necklace, I really want a pair of sweet earrings... either the all rose gold or the carnelian. I have vintage onyx earclips, but ever since getting the sweet pendant, the vintage size feels almost too big.

The more I look at the necklace the more it’s growing on me. Love how shiney the chain and sturdy the clasp feels compare to my Cartier/Tiffany pieces.

Oo the sweet earrings are so cute! Would definitely look great paired with your sweet pendant. I also like the look of the sweet compared to vintage size when it comes to earrings.

Happy birthday! That's a great gift to yourself, congrats.

Here's a sweet and vintage, with comparison between sweet at short vs long length. The vintage was not lengthened so it's at 16".

Btw officially they say don't shower with carnelian (in fact officially they don't even want you showering with the gold!!) but I've had no problems doing just that daily, and I expect onyx would be similarly hardy.

Vintage is not too big at all and I'm sure you're gonna love it when you add to your collection in the future!

Sooo dreamy love this combo on you!!

Omg thank you! The pieces looks great on you. Do you often stack them together or do you prefer to wear them separately?

This is pretty much the exact combo that I want but I’m not sure if it would be too much wearing two clovers together.
Well, I’m currently in decision paralysis on whether I’m keeping the sweet or exchanging for VA size lol.

But here are a few more in case helpful. I think it’s a fun look! I also feel like the dot in the sweet and the different textures helps it feel less repetitive.

Re: stacking, you'll have to consider your own style and comfort preferences. I found I dislike layering necklaces (tangles, messy, needing to sort it throughout the day), so never wear more than one at a time.

However I wear both those necklaces a lot, just alternatively. They're definitely in my top 5 most worn necklaces. Enjoy!

Tbh both those sizes have a place whether you wear the sweet on it’s own or layer in the future. It won’t be a waste of money as long as you use it.
It seems you’re in a dilemma and trying to convince yourself in keeping the sweet. Personally how I would decide is if you don’t want to take the necklace off, would you be comfortable with the vintage size for everyday wear? If so buy the vintage.
If on the other hand you like the sweet for its dainty look and layering purposes then I’d go for the sweet. Dainty and layering is on trend right now.

Both sizes look good on you together, best of luck in deciding.
