so after going back and forth on the rose gold daytona, i decided to exchange the watch for a completely different look - introducing my new 26mm platinum lady datejust! it's so pretty and feminine and i know i will love this watch for a very long time.

i'm still really wanting an oversized rolex so i'm going to take my time and decide between the rg daytona and rg daydate for a future purchase. i have a feeling it'll be back to the rg daytona (and i'll just ignore the fact that it might be a little too big for my wrist and i might not be young enough to wear the watch for a long time - frankly, i don't care because i miss the watch and i love it and i'm sure it'll be back in my life at some point).

in the meantime, i'll enjoy this beautiful watch!!! i'm perma-grinning ear-to-ear!

Okay IMHO this is SO MUCH PRETTIER than the daytona! I think you made an amazing choice it's just gorgeous (and I'm not even a watch girl!!)

Enjoy! Kohl's right - for a big watch it's totally feminine!!

love it--your wish list is stroke inducing!:D

thank you for your comments, everyone. i'm getting it sized tomorrow and am so excited to start wearing it! i heard from my SA that later i can upgrade the bracelet to the one with pave diamonds down the middle for around $20K. would you all do that? pro would be that it would be really special and blingy and dressy but the con would be that it would be hard to wear often in a lot of places and situations. not as versatile. attract too much unwanted attention. anyway, just thinking about it.

I think it looks beautiful as-is. Like you say, unless you want to relegate it to dressy occasions only, I would keep the plain band. However, since you can change it in the future, might as well wear it and upgrade later if you like.

You have made an excellent choice. I have small wrists like you, my wrist is 5 inches and I recently ordered a 26mm datejust in SS. I like your watch the way it is now. If you want something for dressier occasions, I would drop the $20k on a tennis bracelet. It I were you, I would spend it on a Lily Cluster bracelet from Harry Winston.

Enjoy your new Rolex!!!
