I ordered the BZ Trophy the night the sale was announced and the Cordovan Corc and the anthracite Havana the next afternoon. Unfortunately the Havana was a no go (which is ok since I think I want it in Moonbeam now) but my Trophy and Corc arrived safely this afternoon!
First I unwrapped the Corc and the cordovan leather is amazinggg! It's so buttery soft and rich in color. I definitely see slight variations in the leather (some panels have different colors) but it's no big deal at all since I'm sure with wear the leather will age beautifully into the same color.
Next I unwrapped the Trophy...from what I saw in pics, the BZ leather is supposed to be slightly shiny right? Well I haven't seen many BZ pics but judging from GZ pics there should be a slight glossy sheen to it. Well, I think they sent the wrong bag because comparing my bag to their pics of the BZ Trophy, mine looks nothing like it. However, comparing my bag to their pics of just the plain black Trophy, they're identical. The leather is buttery soft and has the same texture as the Cordovan leather. AND the turn lock at the front is fold down...do all Trophys have this?? I thought the fold down was only recently introduced? If this is true maybe my Trophy was just recently made then, which made me more sure that mine's a black Trophy since it was just recently added to their site.
Anyway, I'm actually much happier that they sent the plain black because I was getting nervous about the BZ since I want to use this bag for work and don't want any glossy leather. Also, that thread about BZ leather being dry and plasticky made me all anxious but my Trophy's leather is amazing!!
