I recently brought in my Sweet Alhambra diamond bracelet for repair to the VCA in Manhasset NY as I was concerned with the bracelet’s lobster claw closing.
I picked up my bracelet when it was ready and assumed all was well.
Well it isn’t. After returning home from dinner out I picked up a broom to clean my kitchen floor. Imagine my horror when I found my supposedly recently repaired $10,000 sweet Alhambra Diamond bracelet on my kitchen floor.
This is unacceptable. I don’t know what to do. I paid over $200 for this repair. After tonight I question whether it really was repaired.. I don’t want to be afraid to wear my bracelet but the thought of loosing it is really scary.
Any thoughts?

@sroze, so sorry this happened to you. Perhaps if your thread was moved to the VCA forum from Jewelry Box, more members would chime in? It’s also possible you could ask re NY repairs specifically in VCA discussion thread

I would bring it back. Their repair work should have warranty. I would totally be worried to wear it again until lock was replaced. You could inquire exactly what kind of repair was done to it. Maybe they just checked it and didn’t find anything wrong. If so, I would ask to get the lock replaced.
