I am grateful to share my journey of rhinoplasty with whoever may read this. I write this on the 13th day following the procedure. My friend and I had long planned to undergo facial enhancement in Korea. We have been seeing many Instagram ads, YouTube influencers, and Google reviews as the research to choose clinic. Despite reaching out to several top surgery clinics, communication was lacking. However, when we messaged VIEW Surgery on WhatsApp, we were connected with Jenny, our English team consultant. She provided exceptional service, guiding us from day one until after surgery, arranging everything seamlessly. Hence, we chose The View for my rhinoplasty. Although I had never undergone such a transformation surgery before, I was 90% convinced. We are all unique and beautiful in our own way, but sometimes we desire more. For me, I wanted to enhance my handsomeness further.
Upon arriving in Seoul, we stayed at LYJ Premium Gangnam The Designers Hotel, arranged by Jenny and her team (Julia, Namun, Maria, Keuoon). The hotel's proximity to The View made medical appointments convenient. Near the hotel, we found numerous restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, and the Sinnonhyeon train station. Two days before surgery, we indulged in Korean BBQ and other favorite foods.
Following surgery, I experienced difficulty opening my mouth and nasal congestion. On the first day, I had a personal consultation at The View with the English team and met my surgeon, Dr. Koh Eunseok. After blood tests to ensure my health, we discussed my desired nose shape and size, supported by model inspiration pictures. Surgery took over two hours under sedation, followed by three hours of post-operative observation. I then began taking water gradually and enjoyed chicken porridge. The nurses provided excellent care, and I adhered to medication instructions.
The third day post-surgery was challenging, with pain in my nose, teary eyes, and dry mouth. Pain peaked at 8 out of 10, subsiding after four to five days. Despite the discomfort, I maintained a diet of nutritious foods, fruits, and water, alongside timely medication. By the fourth to sixth days, I ventured around Seoul, albeit with bandages.
Throughout the recovery period, I refrained from washing my hair and face, managing itchiness around the nose area. On the eighth day, stitches were removed, revealing initial swelling. Although initially disheartened, subsequent reviews with the doctor Dr. Koh Eunseok reassured me. While my nose remains swollen, gradual improvement is evident. I am pleased with the subtle enhancement, fitting my face naturally, despite not achieving the exact envisioned outcome.
Recommendations:
Engage with Jenny, Julia, Namun, Maria, Keuoon for a supportive journey.
Request Dr. Koh Eunseok for Rhinoplasty
Eat a lot of chicken soup, yoghurt, eggs and protein drinks for fast recovery
Samyukga bbq pork, tofu stew and side dishes are very good for lunch (about WON 50,000 for 2 pax lunch set).
Tips before Surgery
Eat good foods, your favourite foods before surgery as much as you can.
Buy nutritious foods, soft foods like porridge, protein shake, soya milk and pumpkin juice for deswelling before surgery.
Buy good lip balms
Bring ur own dark shade towels or pillow case so that whne u lie down in the hotel room, you won’t stain blood or betadine on the bed (if u want)
It is recommended to have surgery in cold weather time.
Stay positive and trust the process.
