So I bought my first rose gold Cartier (no diamonds) used about 8 yrs ago and it had been polished once by Cartier just before I purchased it. I then bought my other 2 YG Cartier (diamonds) a few years later and one recently last year. I always thought the Cartier RG was very subtle and not too pink which I liked. Well today I got my new RG with diamonds and boy was I surprised how pink it was. I haven’t been in a Cartier store in like 10 yrs because the closest one is about 4hrs away. I didn’t remember it being that pink. Anyways, thank goodness I googled and found out on here that many of you guys had experienced the RG fading to YG. It made me feel better because I thought Cartier changed their RG color and made it much more pink. I know a lot of people like the more pink in the RG but for my skin tone I think the Yellow and the less pink (if that’s what you call it lol) looks better on me. I attached pics for you guys to see the difference. The rose gold (no diamond) is next to the YG. The new RG is not worn. Sorry for the bad lighting.
Also I read on here that using the gold polishing cloth will slowly strip gold from your jewelry and that you should only do that once or twice a year ugh that makes me sad cause I love polishing my gold once a month. Not sure if that’s true or not though

It could be that the patina on your older rose gold love diffuses the light more than your brand new shiny one, which will give it a softer appearance. Regardless, your collection is still gorgeous!

I have always felt that the RG/PG for Cartier was very pink (compared to my Bvlgari and Tiffany items).

I remember trying on the rose gold love bracelets last year because I originally was going for RG since all my other gold jewelry at the time was RG. But wow, the Cartier RG was far more pink than my other RG pieces and so I opted for YG.

I do have a RG bracelet from Tiffany, but because it's not as pink as the Cartier RG I can't really tell if it's slowly fading to a YG over time or if it's the same pink tone as it was when I originally bought it lol.

Anyway, congratulations on your new love!! Gorgeous!

My 10 diamonds RG is not as pink as your new one. Maybe in between the 2 shades. At first I wanted the tones of the gold to match but it is impossible. I give up. My PG Love is not identical to PG JUC. And the yellow gold in my classic is slightly different to the YG in the cuff or the thin. My YG JUC is mor yellow than all the Loves. Go figure

Would love to see your Tiffany and Bvlgari pink gold pieces! I am always curious about the differences.

I bought the Cartier Love Band with diamonds in pink gold after also looking at Tiffany rose gold pieces. It really seemed to me like Cartier pink gold was halfway between everyone’s yellow gold and Tiffany rose gold. And I preferred that much more than the Tiffany rose gold color. But it’s all about personal preferences and what color you think looks better on your skin.

Thank you for sharing this! So you found Tiffany RG to be more pink than Cartier when you compared? I have heard some people say that the Tiffany RG turns yellow…was just wondering if you had any thoughts/experience on the comparison of Cartier and Tiffany (or other houses’ RG e.g. VCA) color change over time?

The OP’s new RG LOVE looks way more pink than I remember pieces being at the boutique!

Yes I found Tiffany rose gold to be much more "intense" for lack of a better way of describing it than Cartier pink gold. It's not always easy to tell from pictures but I would say that when I first got it my ring looked as pink as the new bracelet shown in the OPs pic. Over time it has softened and I would say looks similar to the OPs older pink gold bracelet in the pics. If you don't have it next to a yellow gold item I think most people would assume it is yellow gold. That does bum me out as I really did enjoy the pink gold color.

What a beautiful collection!
Congrats on your new RG Love!
I am a newbie in this forum and would love to ask for all of your opinions/advices on whether I should get a plain YG or with diamonds. I plan to stack it with my tennis bracelet.
Thanks all

The pictures of OP confirmed my believes: I adore the 10 diamonds and the plain. 4 diamonds is not balanced imo. But i am in the minority. Consensus is 4 diamonds is the best of both worlds
