Hello all! I Just got my second juste un clou in yellow gold and I love it! I previously also have a rose gold. Attach are pics of my new baby!
but I do have a question for you all. This new yellow one completely opens up when I undo the bracelet . It’s kind of hard to explain but when I open the bracelet the one side kind of falls down instead of staying close together. I took avideo but I don’t think I can post a video on here? The last pic is how close together I think it should stay but it doesn’t unless I hold it like that. My rose gold bracelet is way more stiff so it stays close together like that when I open the bracelet but now I dno what’s normal and what’s not. Help would be appreciated so I know if I need to exchange or not!

Congrats on your new JUC! Sounds like the hinge on your new bracelet is much looser than the older one. However, I don't have that bracelet so I'm not sure which one is "right". If you prefer the tighter hinge of the original can you take them both to a boutique and show an SA the difference and see what they think?

Thank you! I texted her and she said it’s normal and some are just tighter than others. I really love the bracelet so I think I’m going to hang on to it! Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a defect!

Sorry to hear that and honestly I do not understand what the problem is exactly. Mine fell off just of a sudden so I returned it to be checked. Expecting that they will tell me all is fine they instead wanted a full exchange of my bracelet which I agreed to. So there seems to be a closing issue with the JUC, too. Cartier won't be more specific what was the failure after asking for more detail.

I would advise it to have it checked. Just to be safe. Imagine you lose it without noticing

I don't think the OP's JUC is popping open unexpectedly. It sounds like she was merely concerned about the tightness of the hinge, which varies on each one. Some are a bit loser than others, but it has no effect on wearing it or how secure it is.

Popping up when it should stay closed would be a different issue. In any event, I would recommend added your JUC and any jewelry or wristwatches to your homeowners or renters insurance policy. Then you can wear items without ever worrying if they get lost or stolen.
