This is a vintage skin handbag my mom purchased in Italy back in the 80's. She was very fashionable ahead of the trends here in Canada. I remember the buttery soft leather boots she also purchased, they went all the way up to her thighs or you could push them down to suit your styling needs. My dad told me the handbag cost alot of money at the time over 6 thousand dollars. Today i am asking if you could help me identify the designer. There is a logo i thought it was Luigi Colani, but i am not 100%. (elephant logo?) My mom has passed away but if she were alive today she would be so impressed with all the great handbags and shoes . She was a true fashionista. Thank you all for your thoughts on this vintage handbag.

The pictures are still in the same file format called "PNG"--did you realize that? I can't open them.

Jpgs are the typical format that can be inserted and seen here.

This snake skin handbag is from Italy, purchased for $6000.00 dollars over 32 plus years ago. My mother has passed and I would love to know the designer so I can get the handbag repaired.
IS THERE ANY ONE WHO COULD PLEASE HELP IDENTIFY THIS LOVELY BAG ?? OR LOGO?? thank you, all.

I can't believe I'm responding to the same bag thread 9 years later, lol, but: First, no idea who made it. My best guess is a generic Italian company, if you know it was indeed from Italy.

What makes you think this cost $6K in the mid-1980s? That would mean about $13,500 in today's money. Unless you have a receipt, this seems totally fanciful. Details of its construction shown here don't match up with how high-end bags were and are still made.

Regardless, you don't need a brand name in order to have it repaired. Good luck!
