Here is the beautiful purse and sunglasses my DH helped me pick out at Michael Kors for our recent anniversary. He actually suggested we go to Kors for my anniversary gift. :love:

I've always hated satchels - until I saw this one! It came in lots of gorgeous colors, but believe it or not, I don't have an all black leather purse!! :nuts: I keep buying colors, and when the SA heard me say this, she insisted that I get the black one.

I love the hardware on it, and the way the long strap falls around the purse when you carry it by the handles is beautiful. I find many times when a long strap is added to a satchel it looks like an afterthought, whereas this one is very functional and looks like it was designed with the long strap in mind.

I am a sunglasses junkie too, and these are so cute, the colors in the frame are awesome!

How sweet of DH! I'm a sucker for chains and padlocks so I'm really liking this. Do you mind if I ask what the name of it is?

Also those sunglasses are so cute and unique.

It's called the Hamilton and it's on the Kors website right now. It comes in a ton of colors and 3 sizes - a messenger bag (very cute), the size I have and a bigger one. :D

Love it! I just bought the same bag in blue. I already have a black bag, so I went with the blue, but I really like the black as well. I think this satchel is great because it has a little bit of a different feel with the padlock and chain strap.

Faith_ann - the pictures of the blue and luggage color on the MK website are a bit off. I posted a pic of my blue one outside on page 5 of this thread.

I just saw that thread you posted, the blue is the one I was leaning towards but the SA talked me into the black because I didn't have a black leather bag, the blue is definitely gorgeous!!! When I see your pics it's drool time. But I do love the black as well, and it was about time I owned a black leather bag, and I think this style is timeless.

Enjoy your gorgeous bag!! I know what you mean about the leather, I have another Kors and the leather is buttery soft, but I think the satchel does need a bit of a more structured leather, and it feels like it could take quite the beating!!

And very reasonably priced!! I'm in Canada and sadly it's a LOT more expensive here. I usually buy Coach because their prices are on par in Canada, Kors costs a lot more here than it does in the US. But every once in a while I see one I have to own. And my DH actually likes the Kors styles and quality better than Coach so if it's a gift from him, he prefers to take me to Kors.

I was just looking at this in Nordstroms when I was down in the US. I loved it but wasn't sure if it would work for me. Seeing this thread makes me think I was wrong...lol!

Happy Anniversary and Congrats!!!! I LOVE Michael Kors!!!! I own 2 bags and will be getting a wallet.....I had bought a wallet but it was too small and had to be returned :( I LOVE black bags.....I think I will be needing one soon!!!!! :)

Congrats!!! I am sure you are going to enjoy it!!

I have this bag in the larger size in black patent and its one of my favorites, its lightweight (although with all the hardware it looks like it would be super heavy) and it looks so classy!!!
