My sweet DH gave me a J12 last Xmas. I had it sized at the boutique on the snugger side rather than bracelet loose, and stored it.

Fast forward to June. Gorgeous weather, out comes the watch and the matching white caviar flap I bought to match it last fall. Pretty set! Angelfish was happy.

For a week.

I  the watch, but it's bruising the inside of my wrist! Initially, it was bad, but I take off my J12 any chance I get and at night, and it's lightening up quite a bit. But its still there!

My mother said last night my wrist might be swelling since it's summertime and get another link put back in. It doesn't feel tight, but the links do rest close on my skin. I didn't bang my wrist, either... I'm at such a loss! I have other watches not quite as heavy that have never done that.

Does anyone else get bruising from their J12? Or is it a case of me being a big ol dork? I have considered that.

Honestly, it sounds like the bracelet is too tight. It should be a little loose so that it moves some. It is really tight on your wrist? I agree with your mother. I think you should get a link put back in.

It does have room to move, but in hot weather (plus its uber humid) it tends to sit, almost stick on my wrist.

Does anyone else feel like the J12 is a bit heavy? Or am I right back to the I'm just a dork solution?

mine is loose, and I dont really feel like I am wearing it, even in the heat, so I think the extra link is most definately the way to go. You should wear this gorgeous watch at every opportunity lol, so get the link put back :D

I know what you mean. The heat definitely makes it feel tighter. If it's already pretty snug then it's going to hurt with a little swelling.

Thanks guys!

The SA sized it looser than I like it, but it WAS wintertime! I knew my wrist would swell a wee bit, but I also expected the links to loosen a little like a metal watch.

I live a country mile from the boutiques, but I'll make the trip soon. I would rather enjoy this watch tne constantly be taking it on and off LoL

I don't have this watch, but for me, if I can fit my index finger between the band and the underside of my wrist (snugly, albeit) it fits the way I like it.

But then - I like my watches just loose enough to not turn completely around my wrist. I wear mainly large men's watches.

I am super-sensitive about the way watches feel on my wrist, so I definitely empathize. And I have returned/sold many watches and bracelets for this very reason.
Maybe it is not just that the bracelet is tight but also the clasp is putting pressure on your wrist. Try putting a small piece of folded tissue or a cotton ball under it, to see if it alleviates the feeling. Then, when you are used to the watch, you can remove the padding.
