It's normal wear and tear... Can happen on the first wear or the 500th... Take them to a good cobbler and they'll look as good as new 
I ruined my Decollete 554 on cobblestones, they looked so bad, I almost cried. But my cobbler did an amazing job, they look almost as good as new. Don't worry, yours will be fine

I feel your pain. This happens to me all the time and causes me a ridiculous amount of unneeded stress. The cobbler will make them okay!
