I wonder why there are so many Hollywood stars with serious illnesses - is it just normal based on the number of ppl there but more noticeable because they are famous?
Or maybe to do with the heavy party etc lifestyle?

Both Perry and Christopher had a long history of addiction that took its toll.

There are other similarities between them as I think they both had depression as well.

Yea, its mentioned in that People article that he suffered from bipolar depression. I didn't know that before, although I did know he had battles with alcoholism. Its still such a shame -- 50 is far too young.

I also found it strange that like Matthew Perry, they gave the cause of death as a "cardiac event." Yes, I know when your heart stops, it can be described as cardiac arrest, but it sounds more like a heart attack than natural causes.

It’s too early to know. They are being diplomatic by saying “cardiac event” since that would be technically correct no matter what the cause.

Yikes, they say it comes in 3's. Yes he had so many problems from Dui and control issues. So sad 😞. He was married to Eva Longoria for a bit.

In the case of Bieber and his wife, they had unfortunate but explainable illnesses. He had shingles which led to damage to his facial muscles (Ramsay Hunt syndrome). She had a blood clot. What happened to the Hadids?

Yeah I just thought she was young for a blood clot; the hadid girls had lymes and a lot of issues stemming from that .

Rest In Peace Tyler Christopher

I was actually watching some of Tyler's Nikolas Cassadine scenes the other day.

The reintroduction of the Cassadines on General Hospital in the late 1990s was truly led by Tyler. Nikolas was one of my favorite General Hospital characters until how they've wrote Nikolas so horrible in recent years (Tyler was no longer in the role at that point). The other actors that have been recast as Nikolas over the years haven't been on the same level acting wise as Tyler's Nikolas Cassadine in my opinion.

Many of us were hoping he would be back on GH at some point so this was awful news. I still can’t believe it. I have heard people say before that these people who were hard-core addicts for years, their bodies cannot take the shock of them doing right, and removing drugs/alcohol from their lives. It literally kills them to be clean and healthy. 😩

Yeah many of us were hoping he would be back at General Hospital at some point.

I was hoping everything would get well enough with Tyler Christopher so he would eventually return as Nikolas Cassadine so he could have scenes with Nicholas Alexander Chavez (the current actor who plays Nikolas Cassadine's son Spencer Cassadine). In my opinion since Nicholas Alexander Chavez has been casted as Spencer Cassadine his portrayal has really reminded of Tyler Christopher's version of Nikolas (especially in the scenes they have both separately shared with Genie Francis' character Laura) and if they would've got the chance I think they would've played off each other so well.
