The thing is that when you get the notification email at your personal email address telling you someone at e`bay has emailed you, you have the option to respond by clicking on the yellow button OR on the "Reply" link above the message in Hotmail, gmail, yahoo, whatever you're using. It should be set up so that you can reply only going through e`bay by using the yellow button, that way you don't send a message from your email thus revealing your address. But because these crazy emails coming from e`bay include both--sender and receiver--email addresses on the top, we're able to reply, sometimes unintentionally, from Hotmail or whatever. I know this is convoluted, so I hope I'm making some sense.
