II have decided I have to have an authentic channel bag! I’ve read blogs that say you should get a CF for your first one....what is CF?

I am looking for someone to tell me dos and donts for buying ( I can only afford pre-loved) and what kind I should get.

But still get it authenticated just in case.

I suggest you go into a Chanel store to model both bags and see what model you like better.

Don’t go for a beaten up bag just because it’s cheaper. As you use it, it will get worse. Just my two cents. Made that mistake once and never again. Try to buy in “very good” condition.

I would advise you to visit the Chanel forum here and read EVERYTHING

It'll take some time but you will learn so much from other members' tips, advice, mistakes not to mention all the pics everyone is sharing. TPF is the place for doing research before buying a brand that you are unfamiliar with. Without the amazing Bal gals and authenticators over on the Balenciaga forum I'd most likely and embarrassingly be walking around with a replica or two

I'd go so far as to say that you can learn many invaluable things here that no visit to a real store could ever teach you.
