Something is definietly funny...where did you purchase your bag?? I didn't know that Macy's sells Louis Vuitton? And honestly, if you are so impressed by fakes, I am surprised you invested in a genuine Louis Vuitton...don't get me wrong, we are thrilled that you are here with us...but there is something odd about your story and comments. Most people who invest in bags such as Louis Vuitton are extremely against counterfit bags...do a google earch on counterfit bags...the stories are horrific.
My first LV bag purchase left me with million questions...

If she carried much better bag and DID PAY money for it, I am fine with it. But she paid peanuts and looks like a million. I paid mucho moolah and look the same. Does this make sense? But whatever. I don't buy fakes so it's not my problem. The SA experience was a bit of a downer. I don't enjoy the bag as much as I would've otherwise and the lack of helpfulness makes me want to just bring it back and wash my hands of the whole thing. Maybe owning LV isn't such a great feeling after all.

is it someone from Coach? because i've heard that some Coach employees tell people that LV or any other brand have factories in China too to validate their own made in China bags

Macy's has an LV boutique here, it's a central location. I am not impressed by fakes, hers was the ONLY one I've seen so far. No one here really carries LV, I honestly don't recall the last time I've seen a person carry an LV bag. Except my neighbor

However, I think fake LVs look very different from real ones. They are not nearly as pretty, even the super fakes. If you did buy a real Manhattan GM it would still upstage your neighbor's, and would probably make her feel foolish. After all, you get what you pay for.
I love the Mono Rivet bag. You will definitely be unique carrying it and there will not be nearly as many fakes as with Speedys and such. Maybe sleep on it and see how you feel in the morning. Congratulations anyway, you are so lucky to get the rivet bag!

guccidiva...Congrats on you new bag. It is a beauty! Sorry to hear about your experience but sometimes you run across some clueless SAs, not just at Louis Vuitton but any store! Next time find an SA you feel comfortable with. No reason to stick with the same one that gave you bad service. I actually find more info on this forum. Don't let that experience bum you out too much...it can only get better! Enjoy your rivet bag! 
umm..sorry to disagree but to say that she fools everyone is pretty much saying everyone can not tell the difference between real and fake, which IMO is UNTRUE. I see fakes everywhere in my area and I can honestly say that I don't have an expert's eye, but I can tell the difference between fake and real just by looking at alignment and leather quality. Even if you compare aAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA+++++++ quality fakes with a real one fakers can never make real LV...well because it's FAKE! They don't have time or $ to spend on quality assurance because they will lose profit. even those who claim that theirs is a "Mirror Replica" to a real one will fool many but not an expert eye who will know they have missed a tiny detail on a screw. kwim?!
Maybe it's best that you don't judge people based on the name they are registered under? I don't stick to ANY brand. I am not LV or Gucci or Dior person. I cherry pick my bags and don't own more than one from each brand.

I dunno..maybe it's just me but it doesn't sound like you genuinely appreciate the craftmanship and beauty of a Louis Vuitton bag. If you truly are not happy with your purchase or the service you received my suggestion is to return it and buy something that will make you happy and not feel like you are competing with your neighbor.
Also, yes LV may not be for everyone..so maybe it's not for you.
