Hello H Ladies..
Ive been lurking for the past 6-9 months trying to educate myself.

I think im ready for my first Hermes - didn't know if its going to be a birkin or kelly. But now im pretty sure i will need a kelly for the shoulder strap option . maybe a 28 cm or bigger?

Since im a newbie - ive been visiting ebay/ bonanza for the past 6 months to know the running prices.

And, then last night visited the 2011 pricing in the boutique and im shocked!

So, the resale pricing is higher?

SInce im going to London / ROme in 2-3 weeks can I just maybe buy from the boutique?
Or any resellers in these cities that you guys know of?

If i call London and Rome, can i get on a list at this time or is this impossible???

did they have any 35 cm birkins in etoupe or gris ? or is this almost impossible?

i dont know about now and whether its a good time to go now.

i was in london in july last year, i went to all the boutiques they had in london, they didn't have any birkins or kellys except for the ones in display.

i saw a black box kelly in display in the bond st display window but i dont think that was for sale.

of course they had 1 or 2 birkins in the store to show people, but not for sale again.

they only accept orders twice a year, even when you go you can not get on the list.

so i dind't have any luck when i was in london, but luckily when i went to spain, in one of the shops in madrid i was able to locate a kelly, they showed me 2 kellys of different colors and hardware.

Yes it is very hard to get a Birkin or Kelly in London as a walk in. The podium list opens for one day in March and also in September and usually closes within a couple of hours once the orders are filled for next season. These orders usually take 6-12 months to arrive in stores. I have seen the odd Kelly on display from time to time in London but never a Birkin. If you have a few days to trek around the boutiques you could try the Paris stores as they have daily deliveries.

You are welcome!I think it is almost impossible to find a 35 cm birkin as walk-in in London and also in Rome just IMO..Are you going also to Paris?

I really have been wanting my first hermes bag but been so busy with young kids ( 3) and didn't even know i needed to be on a waiting list...

Now that i fly in 2 weeks, i don't know if its even worth calling them....

I also found out about the pricing last night..

SO huch much is a birkin togo / clemence 35 cm
and kelly 32 cm or 28 cm in togo / clemence in UK / Rome versus the US?

Is it true that the ebay prices are even higher than brand new prices in the UK and Paris?

Gosh, im always the last to know !!!:p

Don't be sad I'm sure that you will get your dream bag!I wouldn't call them because they don't usually speak on the phone about kelly or birkin, but I would try to go in Sloane and Bond street and I would ask, maybe you could find a kelly. In Italy a 35 cm birkin now should be 6100 euro, in uk I think 5700£, in US I don't know. For the kelly the price is different depending if you are looking for sellier or retourn. i looked at the map of italy on hermes.com.. i will be in rome for just 4 days..
there are other stores outside of rome .. the nearest is florence which is 1 hour by train.
is there higher chances there or just not try to go there anymore?

A 35 Birkin in Clemence or Togo in London will cost you £5680, and as others have said you'd have to be very lucky to see or be offered one. List won't be open now until September. Kellys are more common, I've seen several on the shelf in the past few months. Window displays are available for sale when the display goes down but again you have to be very lucky as they get snapped up real quick (there's a lovely celeste epsom Kelly in bond st at the moment!).
