My first Dior Wallet - Black Oblique Galaxy Leather - Questions + Pic

I just received my Black Dior Oblique Galaxy Leather wallet from the Dior Online Boutique. It's my first Dior wallet/purchase! It has sold out now as it seems fairly new. I love the reflective sheen when the light hits it as I've pictured, but it doesn't seem to get that shine often and mostly has a porous look so trying to justify the cost of $550 plus taxes. Other than that, it's as advertised.

Just a few questions: 1) I am curious do these come with authenticity cards because mine did not come with one? 2) And where can I find the serial number/stamp to validate it? 3) And how do I read it (i.e. does the serial have any meaning like date produced etc or just random)?

I have these questions mainly because I got the last one from the website so it may have been a return. I believe it is a return only because it was sold out for 2 weeks and when one was available on the site, it said limited stock and it quickly changed to sold out once I purchased it. That's why the questions, I am on the fence about keeping it but I know if I returned it may be hard to come by again.

Congratulations on your new wallet.

1) Not all small leather goods come with those cards, especially Dior men's items. That card is useless on the women's SLG's since there is nothing on the card that is unique, and it can't be filled in.

2) The date code should be right near the opening inside a card slot or any large slots/compartments. Please share a picture of it here so we can read the code.

3) The date code or "serial number" tells you at least the month and date of when the item was made.

Seems like you are unsure of your purchase. Don't get it just because it may seem rare. You have to like it as well.

Thanks for your response, I'm still 60/40 on keeping it and have 30 days. I've attached two photos with what I think is the date code you were mentioning. It was a bit difficult to take but it seems it says Made In Italy 10-30-2290 when putting the two photos together. Any info on what all this means and its authenticity will be very useful. Thanks again!

It looks like is says 0290, which means September 2020.

If you got it from Dior online then I'm sure it is authentic. I don't think someone returned a fake.
