Hi everyone,
Today I finally bought my very first piece of Cartier jewelry. After obsessing over the love bracelet for about 3 years, I bought my very own small love in yellow gold.
My experience in the boutique in Frankfurt (Germany) was great. I went in, after scheduling the appointment there.
I wanted to get the cuff actually (regular love is currently out of my budget), but after trying both on, I went with the small love.
My wrist is 15,5 cm and I tried on 17 cm cuff and 16 cm small love. The cuff looked great too ( I wasn't super comfortable to take pictures in the boutique, so I didn't take one unfortunately), but it was a little awkward fitting. The SA said I'd need 16,5 cm in cuff for a perfect fit. The 16 cm cuff was just too tight. I could already imagine the annoyance with the way the cuff would turn on the bottom....plus I want to wear the bracelet 24/7....
I tried on the small love and I loved it. It's perfect, 16 cm fits nice and snug, just the way I wanted it.
Here are some pictures...My SA was great as I said, he gave me the travel pouch, the cleaning kit and French made pralines for my son and I (my 11 year old son is my luxury shopping companion lol. He went with me to Tiffany this summer too to get my RTT heart tag necklace in yellow gold).
I saved for a long time for my love and I'm so proud to own it now!!!

Ladies,
After my glowing post, I must admit, I'm thinking I made the wrong choice. I'm thinking I should've gotten the cuff.
That's what I was actually saving up for and wanted....I just got somehow swayed in the moment....

For me this purchase will be one and done. It was a long time saving and we definitely wouldn't be able to pull it off for the longest time....If at all.

I'm thinking to exchange the small love for the cuff.....What do think? Could I wear the cuff 24/7? I work in an office and am on the computer all day but I don't have the need to take off the bracelet at all.....
Thanks in advance for the help!!

You have to get what you want. It's going to be yours and you're the one who will love it and appreciate it the most. If it bothers you, then exchange for the cuff.

Thank you both for the input. That's what made me doubt...it's alot of money and once it's gone, it's gone.... i won't be able to fork out another 5k.....I REALLY want the original width and if I had the funds, I'd definitely buy the original Love... i went in set on a cuff, but then the SA said the thin one looked so good on me, etc,etc....
I do want one to wear all the time. I THINK I could do it with the cuff....

That can happen - getting “swayed”. Go for the cuff - it has more presence and can be a standalone. Looks like the classic.

However, sizing may be incorrect on you, if you state your wrist is 15.5 cm and you are trying on the 16 size cuff and/or 17 size cuff. On the forum, people with 14 cm wrist go for size 17 cuff as it fits differently. This is also the loose fit, which i believe is more comfortable than the tight or exact fit, but that’s up to you.

You might want to research further or ask some cuff wearers’ opinions.

Yes, standalone is what I want. I'm very minimalistic in terms of my jewelry and what I have on stays on, except for rings...The SA said, the small one would be good for layering....but I don't want to layer, of course on the spot I agreed with him.
The cuff I'd get would be 17. The 16 is the small love I got...

You might want to try the size 18 cuff to compare with the size 17 cuff since you stated it was an awkward fitting.

Hence, 14 cm wrists generally wear 16 Classic Love and 17 cuff, and you stated your wrist is 15.5 cm so I would think you may need to go larger than size 17 cuff is my assumption unless you felt comfortable with the tighter fit.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone, I texted my SA and we'll see what he suggests as far as appointment goes etc.
I did take off my small love after I started panicking about whether or not I made the right choice. I studied the Purse Forum and Youtube reviews for a very long time now and knew I had to keep the love scratch free in case of return
I'll update on what I ultimately decide....both bracelets have their own pros and cons....my two points are- on one hand I want the original width and on the other I want 24/7 wear....

I would consider saving for a bit longer and getting the classic Love. Although that can be frustrating with all the price increases. If you really want it immediately my vote would be cuff. I think the sm Love is a little lonely on its own.
Hmmm... I also would go for the classic but have seen some pictures with a SM stand alone Love which looked really elegant.
