My arms have always been a problem area for me. No matter the amount of diet or exercise, they just wouldn’t budge! I have previously had liposuction done on my arms and was left really unhappy with the results. I felt like I didn’t have surgery when I woke up. I was still insecure about the way my arms looked to the point I would even cover them up during summer!
For my correction surgery on my arms, I decided to seriously research the best doctors and clinics to get it done! That’s when I came across 365mc. I was so impressed by the results and booked in for a consult right away!
My translator was Kyumi. I’m obsessed with her! She’s so nice and patient and was really accomodating about booking a consultation time that worked with my schedule.
When I went in for the consultation, I was greeted well by all the staff I interacted with and felt that everyone was really professional. I was taken upstairs by my translator in a few moments after I arrived. No waiting necessary.
We had a conversation about what I wanted to achieve and what my expectations and previous experiences were. I changed into a special gown they gave me and we checked my body composition on the InBody machine which is a body composition analyzer. Then, I had an initial consultation with a nurse. We went more in-depth about my surgical and medical history, I had many of my questions answered and I received my quote.
Then they took me to see a doctor. The doctor spoke really good English so it was easy to communicate. She checked my concern areas on the ultrasound to see how many cm of fat I actually had. I originally wanted to get my back done as well, but there wasn’t enough fat for them to safely do it so they said no.
After the areas were confirmed with the doctor, I knew I wanted to get my surgery done relatively quickly so we went to get my blood test done and I got fitted for my garment right after! After that I had 360 photos taken of me on a 3D full body scan and actual before photos too from all angles. They had a professional camera and photo area with a proper backdrop, lights! It was so cool! Everything is so detailed there!
Two weeks after this I went in for my surgery! I was booked in early afternoon with Dr. Lee Jong-Won. He was specially picked for me because he is gentle and thorough, and I didn’t have much fat on my arms so his hands and skillset were perfect for the job!
When I arrived I forgot to take my toe nail polish off (rookie move), but I was so happy with how much care my translator and surgery coordinator took, she went with me quickly to a nail place to get them removed and everything! She comforted me and stayed by my side the entire time until the last minute before going into theatre.
Prior to surgery I had a body composition scan again then went to my recovery room. I had a locker for my belongings and got into a dressing gown. I saw the doctor again for another ultrasound and final consult. He explained the entire procedure and the results he would try to achieve for me. He marked the area and I was then good to go! I was happy he mentioned my incision would on the underarm as usually with arm lipo they make it behind your shoulder or above your elbow! This way theres no visible scar!
I then got taken to a different floor where the theatres are! At this point only the two nurses could go in with me. They gave me a hair net and we had to go through this machine to ensure we were fully sanitised before entering. Once again, I was so impressed!
The nurse put the iv in and I finally entered theatre. It was a bit different than other surgeries I had, they asked me to stand and they applied the antiseptic on. It was freezing but tolerable for the short time. After I laid down, the doctor and anaesthesiologist came in and it was lights out shortly after.
I remember waking up in the room, all cleaned with my garment on and not feeling any pain (remember I only did my arms). The nurse waited until I was more conscious they gave me a meal and then medication. Had me walk to ensure I wasn’t dizzy and the care was still at 100%. I didn’t feel rushed to leave the hospital at all which is great! They gave me all I needed and information to send me on my way eventually.
My discomfort has been minimal despite the bruising and swelling I have, I am now one week post op and I’m so happy so far with the results and treatment still! They are in contact with me and ask how I am feeling! In a weeks time I will get my stitches removed and have more pictures taken to give a second update! But, so far I highly recommend this hospital! 365mc has been caring and professional every step of the way!
