My daughter borrowed my (very) vintage Gucci today!

My mom sent me a really cute pair of shoes (Thanks, Mom) and my daughter said, "Oh! They look so Gucci!" I was shocked, "You know what Gucci is?" "Yes!! Gucci is awesome!" "If you are careful, you may borrow the purse Grammie & Papa gave me for my sixteenth birthday; it's upstairs in my armoire." So much squealing! I was shocked to find it's still being made! My bag looks pretty good for 35 years old, doesn't it?

I bought my first Gucci 34 years ago. I just had it refurbished last year. Can you believe that a Gucci bag 34 years ago cost $140 in Macy's department store? LOL.

My first Gucci's also came from Macy's about 31 or so years ago. I think they were around $150 as well.

Yes! This one was $95 @ Macy's.
The sales person explained it was less because it wasn't a purse, but a camera bag. That it was under $100 was a huge point for my Mom.

I still have her Boston bag, as well. It is a year older. IIRC it was $230.
