My Botox and filler Journey 2021

Hi guys, I’m going to share my Botox and filler journey through out my life. Please note that this is my personal experience, and I don’t do any promotion for the mentions med spa.
  1. When I very fist time receive my Botox, filler and pDo threads was in a NON LICENSED China Chinese med spa in Flushing New York. At that time I’m very young and first time doing Botox.and I don’t know where to go and I ask my China friend where is she going, and she recommend me this one:

韩伊美-抗衰瘦身美肤中心1
WeChat ID: nuoxier
Address: 136-77 Roosevelt 3fl, Flushing New York.
Tel: 518-502-9999

I spend about total $4k for the pDo threads lift, (Both side of face) Botox on forehead area, and some NON-FDA approved filler from China? - 嗨体,to do my neck wrinkle, I don’t know what English name for this material because I can’t find it in any English translation.

During the pDo thread treatment, she only using numbing cream on my face, and she insert the threads it was like 10/10 in pain, so I ask her to inject some lidocaine and she saying she don’t have, and later I found out from her assistant that she is not licensed so they don’t have local anesthesia. At that time my face turn blue, but I already half way finish one 1 side of the face, so I have to keep going. I ask her where for she learn her skill from? She saying from Korea.
And during the procedure the Assitant is so busy to film my entire face procedure process without asking my permission and later they shared it on her WeChat page. I told her to remove that she saying “your eyes is hidden so doesn’t matter. “ I’m like, I’m paying you an expensive price and I got to promote it for you? And then they inject my neck with the 嗨体 (she claim it is a Korea product) , which is I don’t know what material it is call in English, that one also 10/10 in pain with only numbing cream. This procedure suppose to get rid of neck wrinkle but the result turns out my neck wrinkle even deeper. (To be honest this is very dangerous procedure because I actually asking few doctor if they do neck, non of them doing, the 2 Manhattan spa that I went, both of them doctor but they don’t do neck area. I think I’m really lucky that I’m still Alive).

The result of the pDo thread last about 2 months, and the healing process is so painful, I couldn’t brush my teeth for 2weeks and I couldn’t do any facial expressions for 2 months. And the result of Botox feels like water, little effect, because by second months I see my wrinkle all up. Luckily I don’t have any complication but the money that I spend doesn’t show any effect. And later when I did my research those who is non doctor/physician license you can’t even buy any Botox and filler from Allergan company. So I think the material she is using is from underground black market. I don’t think the material 嗨体 is even imported from Korea or China maybe she just mix up with some IV/saltwater? because at one time my China friend she order some Botox from France, the US custom detained the package and ask her for medical certificate, and the custom saying they want to inspect the liquid, and later she just give up the package with the custom, the custom saying that material in the Botox was some clon items, and send her a warning letter about illegal importing liquid and clon items.

My conclusion is try to avoid any Med Spa in Flushing NYC area, because most of them learn a few lesson from Korea and they start operating in this China-Chinese community, always check with Allergan company to see if the med spa is listed on the provider list, if not avoid going. https://www.botoxcosmetic.com/find-a-botox-cosmetic-specialist
If you are non license provider you can’t even buy the legitimate Botox material and she is been injecting me with Intravenous (IV) /saltwater and I’m paying her $4K. This type of non licensed med spa you can’t find her in google search or anything, they only operate in the WeChat and the China Chinese community, my China friend she did the 水光针 (again I don’t know what this call in English, this is a China material) But the thing is, if it is non FDA approval medical stuff, I don’t think you can import into the US. Now is 2021 and this non licensed med spa still operating in this Flushing area so I don’t why is she still keep going.

2. The second med spa that I went is this Plump Cosmetic and Injectables in Manhattan, https://yelp.to/Cj5E18o3whb I found this on the Yelp, I did Botox on my forehead only but it cost me about $1K , I only go 1 time because my eyes looks ultra slanted after the Botox injection. I guess the doctor is using a good Botox and really strong dose dilution.

3. I change med spa again, I ask my another China friend where is she going, she telling me go to this Russian doctor, she saying the result was natural. The MicracleFace Med Spa, in Manhattan - https://yelp.to/akqkYc63whb before this clinic has a bad review and court case from the Yelp, but now they clear up the reviews. People complaint the Botox result is weak, I think so because my first time result only long lasting then the coming each visit is getting less and less effective. I spend around $30K through 3/4 years in this med spa. I did many procedure in this med sap, basically the entire face Botox and filler injectable area I did all, - forehead, masseter muscle reduction, lips filler , temple filler, jawline enhance, under eye filler, etc… the only thing he don’t do is neck wrinkle, Each time my visit is about $2.5k, because I really getting a lot of “diluted unit” for the doctor, my entire face unit for Botox is about 120 units each visits. I guess he is using 1:2.5 dilution and he is charging more money from the Botox units, his juverderm voluma filler is cost $700 per syringe. But the last time visit things has change, because I consider myself a VIP in the clinic and they didn’t inform me in coming 2 weeks there is a 50% off promotion coming , they rush me into a routine Botox and filler for $2.5k so I’m upset with it, I do call up and complain but they ignore me, so I say goodbye forever to this med spa.

4. I went to this med spa in Dallas : I found them on Groupon, Vitalite Med Spa - Dallas the price is really cheap, http://www.groupon.com/deals/vitalite-med-spa-1?utm_campaign=UserReferral_mih&utm_source=undefined I did the entire forehead 70 units cost $690 and 1 syringe juverderm ultra XC, lips filler is $390 total $1K for me is unbelievable cheap and anyway I move so I try this new place, the filler I slip 1/2 on my lips and on my smile lines, the smile Line that she inject , the filler was move up to the upper cheek. My face looks bulky during the first 2 months. and I found out from the receptionist that the practitioner just started on January 2021, so basically that’s her 3rd month practicing injections. The result on my mouth 1 area was a little bite too much and the wrinkle in forehead is not that perfect in frozen state but is ok. And I ask her to do the masseter muscle area she saying she didn’t get the license yet to do the lower face area? So ask me to come back like after 1 month, but I didn’t go back. This place is like a family clinic establishment that they do side injection business. If you in a budget wise this is a good place.

5. Then I change med spa again, I found on google : Dallas Surgical Arts - in Dallas
https://www.dallassurgicalarts.com

I visited them for $100 just consultation and the injection nurse Jayne she is honest she telling me another week is Mother’s Day promotion so take up the promotion and wait, and I was thinking to do pDo threads filler on my neck and Botox on my face basically an entire face touch up, at first we discuss a lot of procedure but because I just did an ultherapy so she end up only doing masseter muscle area and touch up some Botox on my forehead from my previous med spa. Around $540 for the 60 unitof botox. And I did the neck filler 4 Syringes juverderm volbella $2K . And She recommend me a very good serum call : pro youth 10 growth factor serum from Rhonda Allison around $68 on 20% off. This serum is very good, I highly recommend.
Through out the conversation, I told the nurse my previous botox feels weak from the Russian doctor, the nurse Jayne was very kind she told me usually other med spa they do dilution 1:2.5 so you feel the botox is weak and you end up paying more. And she is using 1:1 dilution so it is very effective and she ask me to compare the result afterwards.

Now it is 1.5 months the Botox effect is good but the filler on neck is still healing or having a bump so I don’t know what happen I’m going to see her in 2 weeks time. I see little bite effect on my neck area only. So basically $2K is wasted in the neck? I will update again.

My conclusion is always ask the injector what’s the dilution unit Botox you received? 1:1 or 1:2.5 ? they have to tell you the ratio and always go with a Licensed med spa , I think the best way is to choose the real plastic surgery center, they charge more but they are long lasting result. Always check if the med spa is direct provider from the Allergan website. Now my to go place is Dallas Surgical Arts - in Dallas. Because they are reasonable price and they are skillful and they have a moral ethic. I only go with their promotion time Mother’s Day on Mag or Fall Spring week on September.

This serum is really good for my skin, actually the Dallas Surgical Arts - in Dallas told me to use medical brand skin care product because over the counter skincare product is not as effective as the medical one, so I’m arranging my skin consultation with the nurse again and I will update if I discover a new good product.

@mmsnyc, I read your account with some alarm, and I hope you are okay. Your recovery sounds painful and expensive and your bump sounds worrisome. Please don’t wait to get it checked out. I just had Botox and filler done as per my usual, and the recovery should not be painful nor bumpy.

during covid last year, I decided to treat have some laser work done (dark skin laser for a medical issue). There are very few places in NY that have the wide assortment of dark skin laser equipment and the doctors qualified to do the work. My dermatologist referred me to my current dr., who personally pioneered dark skin laser and has had over forty years of experience. After doing my research, I also decided to use his associate, also an experienced doctor, for Botox and vollure filler. I am sure that there are many qualified practitioners of this medical art, but I would caution people to use licensed, skilled and experienced medical professionals only. If filler is done in too large an amount or by a less competent professional, it might migrate; if Botox is not done with skill, you could end up with frozen or shiny areas or worse. my Botox and filler is subtle, but I just notice I look like me, but better. I don’t use expensive creams or facial or beauty products. While I would definitely buy a bargain handbag on ebay, I would not skimp on my face

i don’t use expensive facial creams or beauty products, and I don’t get facials, manicures, or pedicures, so I do save some money there

Hi, which clinic do you go to in NYC?

Yes, I went back for the checkup after 1 month (they busy, they fully book), the bump settle down another 50%, and when I went back (after 2 months) the nurse saying unless I want to dissolve or try to massage it daily and see how, so I choose to massage myself at home, now, day by day it is less bump, but the vertical neck wrinkle is not erasing completely. So that $2K for the neck filler is wasted  So I have to see botox for vertical neck next time.

I also posted a medical grade products post:

Which doctor? there are manys
I will pm you. However, I strongly believe that anyone associated with this practice is extremely competent and experienced. If they feel a procedure is not right for an individual, they will tell her. They do not push services. (I am of course, not affiliated except as a satisfied patient). As this is cosmetic dermatology, insurance does not cover the cost, and it can be substantial.

YIKES. Girl, YIKES.

If you’re willing to travel to Chicago, I have people to send you to. All of this sounds like a mess. Your Botox should last for at least 4 months, with the exception of Botox by the mouth, because we use those muscles more.

It depends on what service you’re looking for, but in general I go to Vitahl (they also have a location in Colorado). I pay less than $400 for my forehead, brows, bunny lines, chin, DAO muscles, and a lip flip with Botox.

I am going to do Secret RF with them in two weeks. I did TruSculpt iD with them for contouring my midsection and am very happy with the results from a single session.
