Last week I ordered a black Gucci Soho Disco bag from Gucci.com. Yesterday, I opened the FILTHY Gucci box to find this unwrapped, unstuffed bag inside (what you see is what you get). What do you guys think? (pay particular attention to the HAIR and dirt on the inside of this bag, the stain on the inside of the dustcover, the faded front of the bag, looks purple, and the wear on the bottom of the bag)! There were tags taped to the outside and inside of the box, I'm assuming a return? Needless to say, I'm a little pissed :cursing:

Oh wow. I hate it when people return their "new" bags like this, but even more than that, I hate it when those companies who supposedly sell luxury items don't even bother to check the returns! :annoyed:

I assume it went right back to Gucci? Are you going to explain to them what happened exactly or just return it?
I sent it back to Gucci today and they are fully aware of the situation. They asked me if I wanted a replacement, I told them to just refund my money.

Oh I wouldn’t be a little pissed, I would be super pissed. I’m so sorry you got a return bag. And that’s awful that people can use their bags and then return them. I can’t believe someone actually accepted this as a return. I hope they can make this right for you.
I'm shocked at the discoloration of the front of the bag, as soon as I took it out of the dustcover I noticed it right away. It went downhill fast after that!

It's hard to see the fading on the front on my screen but I can see all the other points clearly, it's just shoddy. This is why I hate people who wear their bags before retuning and that Gucci obviously accepted that piece then had the audacity to shove it on another customer. If we wanted used we'd just buy preloved.

I am pleased you returned and got your money back

I had the same from Farfetch, I was sent the most awful packaging on my Vegas loafers (not ff's fault but the third party boutique in Italy) I was surprised the shoes din't look even worse, thrown in a box to roll around, completely unstuffed and reused, yellowed tissue paper and I could see that someone had more than tried them on from the creases on the front. I know how it feels, soooo awful, so shoddy, like we'll take your money and and then, who cares? When you're looking forward to purchasing a luxury product that's not the accepted standard.

I also feel very sorry for Gucci right now. Things are not back to normal. There is a massive crisis all over Italy, a temporary workforce and lots of distribution problems. I'm sure there are knock-on problems all over the world.

Maybe just being pedantic, but it also really bothers me when people order multiples of the same bag (prior to Covid-19) - like 1 in every available colour and maybe several sizes, to try them out at home and then kept them till the last day for returns. I hope the bag never left the house, but I also know you put your stuff in all of them and tried them all on with different outfits because you've posted asking for opinions, and I know those bags have been in your home for a month.

Like, to me, THAT'S used. I've seen posters who've done that and then returned them all, to order a bag in a size/color combination that they hadn't tried on...because clearly the one combination they didn't try on was THE ONE. :oh:

OP, I'm so sorry you ran into issues, even ordering directly from the brand isn't a guarantee on good service anymore. That bag definitely looks used and I'm glad they took it back without fuss. :flowers: TPF is where I learned to video all "unboxings", just in case I need to return something.

I really was hesitant about placing an order during the COVID-19 crisis but went against my better judgement and placed the order. Apparently, all Gucci bags come from their warehouse in New Jersey, so someone apparently pulled the return instead of a new one. I didn't get my money back yet. The bag was shipped back and then they have to do their thing. I'm assuming it will take 5-7 days once they get the bag.

This bag was clearly used for a long time. The front of the bag is discolored, it's a purplish/black as if it was sun damaged. I don't know why this was ever accepted as a return, I'd never have the nerve to return something that was used! I always thing bags should come with a HUGE, UGLY lock and once it's removed by the customer, it can no longer be returned - for any reason!

I never thought to do an unboxing video, but I will do that from now on.

Crazy times
