For as long as I can remember, I've loved jewelry. I was very fortunate in that my Italian Grandmother also loved jewelry and had an amazing collection. Even as a small kid, I would be as happy as a clam to just sit for hours & hours playing with the jewelry in her jewelry box!

I've taken a number of metalsmithing & jewelry-making classes (Boston Museum of Fine Arts & Mass College of Art), but my design capabilities are WAY-BEYOND my skills (sadly). So, now ... I've been colloborating with a local jeweler who is putting my designs into reality. I'm a NUT for bangles and after taking the GIA/Diamonds course, I now love Diamonds (didn't before that ... that was a mistake!!). Anyhow, here's a picture of my "arm weights" (aka - my high-karat gold & diamond bangles - many designed by me). Sorry for the fuzzy pics ... (it was hard holding the camera with 1 hand!) ...

But each indevidually. I love 18 k and diamonds/ gemstone bangles. I have about 7 of the gold Ippolita ones. Im sure yours are much more affordable! LOVES!

Aw heck ... I used to have some of Ippolita's bangles, but I had purchased them MANY years ago when she was still just in Florence (not yet in the US!). I ended up selling them.

A lot of my pieces I have either collected from all over the world (I used to travel quite extensively for business) -or- am influenced by architecture, nature or certain cultures (ancient Rome, Byzantium, Indian, etc.).

PM me re: my jeweler ...

beautiful!! i used to wear 7 "lucky" bangles for YEARS!! then i lost 2, and refused to wear em because the lucky 7 were no longer there. i plan to pick up another set soon!!

How do I PM you? I love them. And how do I change the name on my account? Does anyone know?

You can PM someone by clicking their name above their avatar and PMing them there. I don't think you can PM right away until you have a certain amount of posts though. In addition, you can search for you answers to questions and peek also at the feed back section. Good luck and welcome to tPF!!
