I think the first pic was without flash, and the second pic captures the color most closely. It's a super saturated, dark ruby red.

Here's another pic of my rouge theater day next to rouge vif purse. This one's pretty close too.

I keep looking at this photo ... when I hold my new Rouge Vif City up to my screen it is like a color inbetween these two ... not quite as dark as the rouge theatre, but definitely darker than your rouge vif ... the colors on bbags are so amazing! they are so different on each one
