I want to share the bags in my collection and the stories behind them. Over the past year a lot hve left my collection and more will leave, but I want to look back and be able to remember. Starting with my first ever bag. It was a purple alma pm. I loved the color and the feel of the leather. It wasn’t a Chanel (my favorite brand), but still a gorgeous bag.

The next bag would be my first ever Chanel bag, the CC crave, and one that I still find to be the perfect “every day bag”. It is not black, but a perfect neutral. Bigger than a classic and the chain long enough to be a cross body. It is more in line with the size of a 227 reissue. This bag is my go to. It has survived being soaked through and still looks like the day I got it. It was an absolute dream. I never thought I would own a Chanel flap. If I could buy 10 more in this design I would.

My first Chanel classic flap was my holy grail bag and one I never ever thought I would own! It is a m/l in black caviar with silver hrdware. My most used bag and one that is still my holy grail. It is my favorite classic size. Everytime I use it, I feel special. There is something about classic flaps that make me feel pretty and dainty. I’ve looked at many other black bags, but no other black bag (imo) holds a candle to this one. Over 5 years old and looks amazing.

The next bag is one of quite an adventure. I wanted a Celine luggage tote SO badly. I was in Paris with my mom and wanted a tricolored luggage the most. I didn’t care that it wasn’t classic or that it was in the leas durable smooth leather. Well, the SA helping us did not feel the same way. She felt that the bag was going to get beaten up and destroyed as I was just a teenager at the time. She suggested I go for a black pebbled leather luggage tote. Well, after a very long debate I decided to go with my gut. About 8 years later and it looks basically new still! Though the first time I used it I did slip on my driveway and drop ot face down.

My next bag is one I thought “every girl needed”, but am not sure this girl needs. It is another Chanel classic. Not much to say except in the 4 years of owning it has been used maybe 3 times.

What Chanel girl doesn’t have a jumbo, is the story of this bag! It is huge though and I am not sure the size is right. I love chevron and love lambskin, but wosh I could shrink it. The chain is too long for cross body and the bag its self is too big for under my arm. In photos it looks almost photoshopped. Haha.

My next bag is the first time I was ever at 31 Rue de Cambon! What a joy. I wanted a WOC, so badly. This was when they were around $1500 (what a bargin). They were impossible to find. At the time I thought I was going to settle for just a wallet or cardcase, but I got this instead. Minis did not have the same popularity that they now and I did not know what an extra small mini was! It was under $2000 and all leather at that. It is black lambskin with light gold hardware.

Now for some boy love! I love me a black bag! This one is special because of the plexi clasp. I wanted the plexi clutch so much, but did not have the money, so this was a close second. I also love the bright silver hardware! A funny story: I was at a Chanel luncheon and a server spilled champagne on this bag. Well it wiped right up and was perfectly fine.

The last classic flap left in my collection as of now. Others have come and gone, but this one is special and her name is Tiffany. I was back in Paris and looking at the so black bags. This was before they became what they are now. I had always asked for a Tiffany blue or seafoam green blue bag, but Chanel never had any, so I never bothered to ask. Another client was looking at this bag, but passed. I saw a peak of it out of the dustbag and asked the SA to see it. It was love at first sight and there was no chance it wasn’t coming home with me!

This mini is special because it reminds me of an asian pear. It’s a gorgeous yellow color. When I was little my mom had a yellow patent bag that became very scuffed up, but she adored it. Every time I use this, I think of her!
