Thankies to all the lovely ladies here for their compliments 
I've taken more pix, some of them under natural lighting and I can see the pinkish/purplish tones to it.
I've used it today for the first time and I'm so loving it!!
The handles definitely have more allowance for my arms as compared to my Tempete RH City when I carry the 2 handles on my shoulders.
It also has more structure when I use the shoulder strap and the leather is so yummilicious, feels thicker than my Tempete RH City.

Oh dear... For my case, only 1 colleague recognises Bal. The rest just thinks I have too many similar looking bags. I don't bother to comment. Just smile and nod. So that's the advantage of carrying a discreet luxury bag. I remember when a colleague from another lab got an LV, there were many hush hush comments about it.
But my bag sits in my cupboard for the entire day so no one really sees what bag I carry either...
