So awhile ago I posted that I wanted some ideas for a 2ct diamond that my grandmother gave me. I wanted something a little different from my engagement ring, which is a round with two pear sidestones. So.....I got a lot of great ideas from you ladies and here is my ring reset!

Sorry these aren't the most fabulous pics, I tried my best!

BTW the stats on the stone it's a 2 ct round, purchased in the early 1960s. They paid $1200! It is an H VS1.

The setting is yellow diamond halo and split shank micro pave diamonds in platinum.

Sweet! Gotta love those vintage deals! My husband's grandfather bought a 1 carat nearly flawless ring (don't know the stats, but it's super clean, white and sparkly) for $100. Now his sister wears it. Unfortunately it's in some horrible 80's setting that does zero justice to the stone.

It's nice to see a pre-loved stone set into something modern and chic!
