DH and I celebrated our 1st anniversary last month. We went into the jewelry place where we got all of our rings (E-ring, both our wedding bands) to pick out an anniversary ring back in April and I fell in love with this design.
At first I wanted a sapphire and diamond white gold/platinum eternity band to go with my set, but then loved the way rose gold looked against my skin so I changed my mind. They didn't have the rose gold version of the ring in stock and had to order it in...well, the supplier was swamped and at first they quoted me 4 weeks to get it in but in the end it took almost 9 weeks to get here!! I was almost ready to give up on it, but am glad I waited patiently...
This is in 14kt rose gold, with approximately 0.20ct of diamonds...it's so dainty and delicate. I love it!
I had them inspect my e-ring while I was there, and was devastated when they told me that my center stone was loose and they recommended I get it sent away to get it tightened.
Sadly, I can pinpoint the event that had probably caused it. For awhile I wore my rings playing squash and there was this one time I smacked my hand really hard against the wall trying to return a serve...that was also the day I decided not to wear my rings to the gym again. The good news is they caught it before it actually fell off. The bad news is I'll have to wait until next week to wear all the rings as a set.
Here's my wedding set with my e-ring that I'll be stacking it with:
This is what it looks like now, stacked with only my wedding band (the notch is to fit against my e-ring):
I'm thinking I might also "sandwich" my e-ring between the anniversary ring and the wedding band, but I'll have to see what it looks like once I get my e-ring back.
Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement in this little piece of jewelry...DH has made it clear that I won't get a ring every year on our anniversary so this won't happen often
.
