I'm planning to get a black Evelyne H as my 1st H bag. I'm so dying to have one right before me.

I'm looking for a black one in particular.

Which leather do you think will go better with a black Evelyne? Epsom or Clemence? Does Black Evelyne come in any other kind of leather? As the search function is down, I can't locate any relevant info.

Are all black bags always come with gold hardware? Will there be any coming in Palledium hardware?

Have you yourself seen a black one in shop. I'd love to know if you're going give a pass on it. :)

Both Epsom and Clemence are great. Epsom is lighter. Clemence is so souple and can wrap around the hip of the wearer.

Yes, it comes in Barenia as well.

Are all black bags always come with gold hardward? Will there be any coming in Palledium hardware?

It's available in both PHW and GHW.

I'm a 5'6 and weighing abt 130lbs

There's currently none of that close to where I live, I'm going to ask my SA to do a world wide search for me.

Just wanna be sure and be specific on which one to ask her to find for me.

BTW, how does the leather Barenia look like? How heavy is it compared with Epsom and Clemence?

TGM2 is really big, so maybe you should go to a store and try one just to be sure of the right size for you. I prefer GM2, it is elegant but still holds quite a lot. :tup:

Barenia is a fantastic, thick leather known as the original saddle leather. It looks amazing, lasts for decades and feels lovely. It is not so easy to find and it might take longer to get one in barenia. Barenia / toile combos are easier to get and it is a beautiful look for the summer.

I would go for clemence. I love the slouchiness of the leather and it is a great leather in everyday use. Epsom is very light but has much less of a luxurious feel in it. Epsom is really not my personal favorites, so that's why I don't like it so much...

As the proud owner (only since Sat!) of the GM2 in etoupe clemence, I say clemence for sure. I tried a GM2 in epsom and becuase it was stiffer, it felt a llittle odd and did not sit right at the waist whereas the clemence just hugs you. FYI, I'm 5'8'' and long of body rather than leg (boo hoo).

It is a great bag.

I've tried a blue jean clemence in TGM; brighton blue clemence in GM2; blue jean epsom in GM2 and a chocolate color (don't know what it's called) epsom in GM

I agree with DiamondS and hello2703, epsom doesn't have the luxurious feel in it whereas clemence look better but a lot more heavier when I tried the TGM in clemence.

I was wondering the practicality of wearing a heavier (aka clemence) TGM all day long would put a lot of pressure on my shoulder although I do love it more. I'm struggling between practicality vs. beauty; that's why I need you all's suggestions. :) You all are great H owners and have really wonderful and useful ideas. Thx a lot. More suggestions and thoughts are mostly welcomed.

Personally, I love bigger bags cos you never know how many stuff you need to put in. I'm just second guessing myself whether a TGM would look horrendously big even though I've tried it.

asa, do you have any modeling pics of your TGM... and how tall & heavy are you if you don't mind to share. Just give me a reference whether it would work for me.

How much stuff could actually go into a TGM? Do you have pics?

These are the normal stuff that would go with me every day, may be it can give you gals a better idea of what to suggest?

1. LV Alexandra wallet
2. LV mono vernis cles
3. iPod 30G Video
4. iPod recharger
5. 6-key holder
6. coin change
7. cell phone
8. a light jacket
9. a plastic folder for about 20-30 A4 paper
10. a water bottle of abt 500ml
11. a misc bag with extra cards and USB stick
12. several pens

I do carry a lot and the bag go with me when I commute to and fro for work on my shoulder as I travel by public transport. And practically all day long when I go out shopping / window-shopping on weekends.
