Must-Have luxury SLGs?

Hey guys!

So.. I am quite happy with my luxury handbag collection as of now, so I really want to get a bit more into luxury brand SLGs for inside all my handbags

I was wondering, what are your MUST HAVES? Like a card holder/wallet you cannot live without, a special pouch that carries everything you need, maybe a key holder that is your go-to.. whatever it is, I'd love to know about it!

Also, do you switch between card holders and regular wallets depending on the size of your handbag or do you stick with one always?

I prefer a long wallet so my first luxury wallet is the LV Clemence. I don’t like my paper money folded in half and I have many cards I carry so this wallet I really love.

My favorite SLG is my Dior accordion card case, looking to get one in patent next! I find it incredibly easy to use and it's worn very very well. I also use my Chanel snap card case (the one with a flap, snaps closed) quite a bit but I really enjoy my Dior accordion card case most. For most compact card cases, I mostly use the Chanel card case, but I also have a Bottega Veneta one. I've yet to find a favorite compact card case.

I love the LV Zippy wallets. I have the Zippy Coin Purse, Zippy Compact (old model), and Zippy wallet (full size). I feel like they can hold so much without being bulky. I have these different sizes depending on the purse. I also like the LV 6 key holder, class, and mini pochet.

I love the Saint Laurent 6 key holder as well as the business card case. Both are technically the men’s line- I’m always drawn to the minimalist sleek look.

Most of my SLGs are Louis Vuitton because their durable canvas can withstand the knocking around against other items inside my handbag. I switch up my wallets and pouches depending upon the bag I wear. Here’s what I carry:

Would you mind showing more photos of the key holder? I saw it on the YSL website and was really interested but could barely find any info/reviews about it online

It’s really such a lovely piece. One slot is where I keep my drivers license and then there’s another hidden slot under the flap in the middle section (where the metal plate is). I can fit about 2 cards comfortably- 3 if I’m pushing it.

The metal is scratched but I’ve been using it everyday for 2 1/2 years- so to be expected. Hope this is helpful!

There is another slot behind the section where the keys go? I looked at it online and it looked like there was only that one card slot and that had me thinking.. because I love a good SLG that can carry everything I could ever need haha

Yes, pardon the lighting- a bit difficult to photograph. But the middle portion leather lifts up from the bottom and underneath that is the second card slot, which opens from one side. I moved my license into that slot so you could get a good idea.. I didn’t discover this compartment for about 6 months!

I don't really have any specific recommendations for an LV wallet. Mine is a long discontinued men's billfold that I bought in 2006, and it still looks spanking new. The pochette cles is nice piece for holding cards, change and keys. I have had mine since 2007, and it still looks good despite some wear on the zipper and key ring part. My husband has an LV 4-key holder that has held up nicely as well.

I love LC SLGs. I have several of their coin pouches/mini wallets, I would also have purchased the 6-ring key holder if it had a card slot in it as well. My current key pouch is Lancel but I don't think the pouch is as handy as a 6-ring key holder. I would much rather use my key pouch like I use my LV Empreinte Key pouch; for coins and cards.

As we're on the subject of key holders; can someone tell me what is the maximum length of a key you can put in the LV and SL key holders so that the key will still sit inside the key holder?

Actually, I own a LV 6-ring key holder now and I just measured for you. I would say the longest key could be 7cm.. but that's like just above the edge so it's best for it to be a little under 7cm
