I have a lot of Coach accessories and I use them in a variety of ways. Today I had another opportunity to appreciate the versatility of these unique little items.
I had made plans to join several of my work colleagues for a special lunch today. The restaurant we selected was rather far away from the office; but that was okay because it was a beautiful summer day to take a stroll with friends.
I had planned for this excursion. I put on cool, comfortable clothes and I wore nice, comfortable walking shoes - but I forgot all about my bag! That was unusual because I always think about the best bag to wear with an outfit - but today I completely forgot all about it!
I have been carrying a lovely summer bag, but it is large and loaded down with all the "stuff" that I carry with me for my commute into the city.
This morning I was asking myself "What were you thinking?! You brought a big, heavy bag with you even though you know that you have to take a long walk!" I own loads of wristlets, swingpacks, large wallets, and small crossbody bags, so it would have been very easy to bring one with me today - but I just didn't think about it!
First I considered loading up my pants pockets for the excursion, but although I didn't want to bring many items, there were too many for my pockets. I decided that I needed to bring my sunglasses, phone, comb, cash, credit card, and a few other small items.
I finally came to the conclusion that I had no other option than to carry my large bag, but I realized that I would have to remove several items to lighten the load (like my Ipad.) But as soon as I opened my purse I noticed the violet, jeweled cosmetic case (43309 sv vi) that I use for receipts, coupons, ear-buds, and other small items; see pics below.
I carry another cosmetic case to use for cosmetics, but this slim-line case (that I picked up around 5 years ago at the outlet for $30) is very useful in helping me organize small items and making it easy to quickly switch bags.
So I emptied the contents of the violet jeweled cosmetic case into an envelope for safe-keeping and then I loaded it up with the items that I wanted to carry during our outing. It was just the right size and made a perfect small, light-weight (and pretty!) clutch. And I was happy that I had it with me.
I was glad that I was able to adapt one of my coach accessories in this situation, but I have decided that I will bring one of my large wristlets to work and leave it in my desk, so that I will always have good option when I discover a sudden need to "travel light!"
How have you multi-tasked your coach accessories? Please share your ideas!
