Hey guys :smile:
I was quite surprised about this and maybe you have some thoughts about it, too. We all know that the MPA is reaaally popular and once they came out with the Empreinte version I thought it will be just as popular. But ever since I looked it up online it has never been sold out while MPA in Canvas is always gone. At least it's the case in Europe. It's even available in both boutiques in my city! And I rarely see posts and youtube videos about it. Why do you think is the bag "less popular"? And do you own the bag and would recommend it? :smile:

The leather MPA is also a different look entirely compared to the canvas version, and cost is a factor. Pay more for leather, thicker chain, don't have the guitar strap or extra coin pouch.
I was looking at the By the Pool MPA but it didn't include any of the charms as with the NF/Speedy in that collection so that was a no no for me :no:

I think it was only recently released so maybe it's popularity hasn't caught on yet. I actually saw someone wearing it and was looking up videos on it and there weren't much. I decided to go for it and now I see more and more unboxing videos on Youtube. The cream version goes out of the stock fairly often as I think people want it for a summer bag. Price-wise, the canvas version is a better since you get the extra SLG at a lower price (also the guitar strap imo is better value than the leather version), but leather is going to cost more regardless. I actually own both (I have a comparison post in the Scam Bag thread here) and I would recommend the leather version if you want something that can look dressier and if you don't care about the coin purse. I got the canvas version first and it's definitely a more casual looking bag while I feel the leather version can be casual or dressy. The chain on the leather version is super nice and is what really pulled me in. But if you have your heart set on the canvas version then don't use the leather version as a substitute, as I feel the guitar strap definitely is a defining feature of the canvas version and offers a look that the leather version isn't going to give.

I tried Canvas, By the pool, and Empreinte version and the strap is much shorter in the leather one which didn't fit me. The guitar strap is a little longer but it's enough to feel comfortable and the look of it is the DNA of the MPA ! hope that makes sense !

Thank you! And yes, I do think the empreinte version is a great alternative if you can't snag the canvas one, especially if you like the slightly dressier feel to it. The only con about the empreinte version is the black strap. It's the same as the NeoNoe one and personally I feel like it's too short for crossbody. It's fine for shoulder length but it needs another inch or two for crossbody (of course this is personal preference, but for reference I'm 5'2, so not exactly tall). Easy fix though, as I will probably buy another chain to match the short chain that came with it.

I started thinking hard about the MPA empreinte in black - loved the look, versatility, and uniqueness. I saw the cream color way in store and it was beautiful...however, I dunno if the small leather pieces are worth the price. For over $2k, I can purchase a bigger leather bag from Saint Laurent.

I'm in the same boat! I looove how it looks in black but the price is so steep, I could get the YSL loulou i've been eyeing and still have money left over for a SLG.. I will say I think the MPA empreinte has a more timeless quality to it, I could see myself using it for a long time.

You can buy just the strap. I have in black and I wore it almost everyday with speedy B, palm spring mini or pochette metis. The strap is super comfortable. So if one day I bought MPA leather version, I can use this strap too. ;)

I really Like the black in empriente MPA bag I was choosing between this one and by the pool and I decided to keep the by the pool multipochette.The black leather is really classy and dressy in my opinion and I love the fact that understated
