You can buy replacement straps for messenger bags but they get a bit funny about selling straps to wear on a non messenger style as it changes the 'design' of the bag apparently!!!! What bag are you wanting it for?

That's interesting, they really care about their bags! Hoping to use with Jody. I like to take her shopping and she gets a bit heavy. My DH said that I'm going to get WAG elbow! I seem to recall someone (Alexa Chung?) wearing her roxy messenger style with a striped strap. Or maybe I dreamt it, I dream a lot about bags.

Nope you're right Alexa did put a funky messenger strap on her roxanne and i think someone on here has used a guitar strap on their Rosemary (small roxanne). Some people have bought messengers such as Seth so that they can use the removeable strap on other bags.

For the Mitzy Hobo (my baby :heart:) you can get a strap, it costs £75 and there's a one-month waiting list (apparently it looks like the Mitzy messenger strap, only a bit shorter) - so yes, they are a bit funny about extra straps ;)
