Well I suppose your decision has a lot to do with whether or not a premier designer is important in your thinking process.

Personally, I like the Mulberry, not because of the name but because of the leather.
What I don't like is the price.

If trying to be pragmatic about it, why not choose the cheaper alternative (which is almost a spot-on alternative) and put some $ inside that bag instead?! ;)

LOL. That thought reminded me of when I was younger and I would buy a new wallet, and then not have any money left over to actually put inside my new wallet. Ahhh...

Well... I go for quality and sometimes there is quality to be found in a designer that is not premiere.

I just love turn lock bags.. LOL

I own both KS and Mulberry both are nice bags. Here is my question is pink one of your favorite colors? will you carry this bag in 5 yrs? If not then buy the KS if you see yourself wanting a pink bag to carry forever then go for the Mulberry. If it's a trendy bag for you buy the KS. If it's a classic bag get the Mulberry

Ohh I like the way you think. I like some colors in leather. I love the standard black but do not want a closet full of black bags. So the colors I love are red- yellow - purple - blue - pink. But not as a general rule.. I saw this balenciaga in blue that was amazing! The KS pink is adorable looking. I love the coach gunmetal color in wristlet size not a full bag.. It has to have the perfect combo of color and style. Some colors do not suit the style.

So here is a question back- KS is considered trendy? What of the pink KS do you feel is trendy than the pink Mulberry? Or then does that get into a brand name sort of thing? Or is KS destined to be a classic style bag? ;-)

Since you own both.. Would love to know which you consider better made.

Thank you so much for answering!

I'm not the above poster but, from the pictures, the KS looks brighter - more bordering on neon, which is trendy. The Mulberry is a darker, more... "mature" pink, I guess, and IMO would stand the test of time better.

LOL, ya agree! But I never go for branded bag before although I'm wish to have one last time, bcos I rather keep the money inside my purse. And bcos of this reason I never had a branded bag or purse.

But right now I think I should go for something that I really love and don't care too much on de price, so long de quality, design n brand is what I love it jus go ahead! At least should have 1or 2 favorite bag/ purse before 30! :p

The handles on the flap will make the Kate Spade more of a PITA to get in and out of, and I dislike the jingly thing going on with the chain on the shoulder strap, so the Mulberry gets my vote.

here are my thoughts and where I was going with this. If you spend over 1000 on a bag it should be a bag you will carry awhile. The Mulberry is an expensive bag. The KS is trendy in that it's a price point that won't break a bank and you could buy it and 6 months from now maybe not carry it and not feel so bad about it.

Both are nice bags but Mulberry is better made and has the details of an expensive bag. KS bags are also nice and will last but not as long as the Mulberry and if you had them side by side you would see that the Mulberry is made of better leather and has better details.

In the end it's up to you both are lovely. I just was trying to point out that the money is very different and that needs to be considered when buying a bag.

NO do not have all black bag....lol:smile1:

Personally I like the look of the Mulberry more - it seems a bit more structured and the darker plating feels classier to me than the silver plate on the Kate Spade. That being said, I don't think there is enough difference between the two to justify the almost double price of the Mulberry so if I was the one buying it, I would go for the Kate Spade, or more realistically, try and find another bag around that price that looks more like the Mulberry.
