My Mabel's gold hardware has sort of faded... Any idea, if Mulberry accepts this?

I just had the postman's lock replaced on my small bays satchel as the gold plating was chipped. They didn't charge me as it's within the warranty period but I believe you can also pay to have this done...?
I bought mine at least 2 yrs ago.....But i still love it! =) I was wondering if the mulberry store would help me though.. the SAs always look mean here.. darn!
