Mulberry Bayswater without serial number

I bought a preloved Mulberry Bayswater in chocolate colour in a very "stiff" leather. This bag didnt have a serial number. Does it sound like i have bought a fake?

The made in label (Turkey) is also located just below one of the buckles that is going to adjust the bag (not beside the pocket). And it says "MU" at the back. Is it normal that this tag is located at this place? It also have a different font.
