Mulberry Bayswater & rain

I bought a Mulberry Bayswater in a nude shade and I have been spraying it with the Collonil Waterstop heavy duty leather waterproofing spray. I also bought the leather gel. Since it is so light in colour, the back of the bag has started transferring a bit of colour from my black coat.

If I spray it with the waterproofing spray as recommended, will it still leave marks if I use it in the rain?

And any way to protect the colour?

I don't know sorry because oak is about as light as I will go for an everyday bag. Seems a bit poor if your coat is transferring. But that is on the care label, non?
