Polene, Numero Neuf (this is a fairly new line of bags out of Paris but very stylish,
beautiful leather & priced for a good everyday knock around bag.. no logos
& a variety of styles that one might find appealing

Speedy bandouliere, Le Pliage Neo, and Antigona mini. Both the speedy and pliage neo can be folded flat and their crossbody straps are pretty comfortable in my opinion. Other travel favourites of mine are the Prada Tessuto nylon sling bag and the YSL Lou camera bag Givenchy Pandora small.

Aspinal’s Large Lottie or regular Lottie, depending on how much you carry. Easy to switch between shoulder and crossbody, dressed up or down, fits loads of stuff, and the latch is quite secure. I recently did a fair amount of traveling in Europe and ended up using my large Lottie more than any of my other bags that I brought with me. The leather holds up very nicely.

In the large I currently have:
-mini continental wallet
-Totes umbrella
-cosmetics case
-card holder case
-hand santizer
-mints
-feminine products
-backup phone battery
-AirPods
-protein bar
-access badge lanyard
-tidy-all case
-medicines

Do you have a budget?

In general I’d say:
- Any leather bag that has a texture, like peppled leather, saffiano leather, caviar leather, etc., so that it’s more scratch resistant/durable.
- One that has both a top handle and shoulder or crossbody strap (preferably adjustable)
- a bag that has some structure and if it’s more bottom heavy or larger boxier shape towards the bottom, has feet at the bottom.

For me it’s my YSL black on black matelasse bag. I can carry it on the shoulder or crossbody. It does have a logo but isn’t that noticeable since it’s all black. It is my errand bag and I’ve had it since 2017.

Ohhh I have the pochette metis in black empreinte and it's definitely a favorite of mine. The logos aren't as loud compared to the monogram canvas version in my opinion (and no worrying about patina, hurray! Oooor color transfer like the reverse monogram) It's light, can be dressed up or down, fits a lot of items, and just a beauty to have and to hold. Due to the envelope design and construction, the structure still holds even after owning it for several years now.

Hm I'm not too sure about the Gucci horsebit as I do not have it but I do know that the mini Soho Disco will become super soft and supple with constant use.

For me the following bags are real workhorses:
- Michael Kors Selma in medium size: it was tossed under the seat of a plane many times, and never got out of shape. When it gets dirty, you can wipe it off and disinfect the bag without damaging it. It fits most essentials, such as wallet, keys, makeup, phone, as well as some extras, such as paperwork, snacks, small scarf. And if you need to limit yourself, this bag can also go from day to night.
- LV speedy 25 in damier: very stylish, and very durable. Big advantage is the strap. But space inside is limited.
- LV neverfull M in damier: very stylish, durable and roomy. Doesn't look like a "workbag", and fits most outfits and occasions.
- Le pliage L with long straps: good price point, very lightweight, foldable, comes in many colours. Easy to bring on travels without worrying about your bag being "smashed" or getting dirty.

My favorite is and will remain the selma.

Speedy bandouliere 30 in ebene. I have used mine years for daily. I have taken the middle strap and used only with the short strap as a shoulder carry.

The bag is light in weight, very durable and goes with any outfit or season. My bag has a felt organizer inside because I don't like saggy look, I want to keep the bag clean as I really use it daily (I carry my lunches to work etc.)

What did you end up buying? Just curious as I am considering this bag (Gucci horsebit 1955 small shoulder bag) but not sure if I want to go with black or the brown monogram. I like the black because it’s understated but also seems more formal, but the monogram just goes with everything even super casual outfits …I’m just not sure I am a monogram kind of person. Most of my bags are understated.

If you haven’t considered it, the Loewe small puzzle bag is a great everyday bag!
