We have two samoyeds, but we waited two years before we brought in another dog. What also helped was the fact that our first was completely socialized to other dogs, and that our second dog was a puppy. Of course, she was still pissy with the puppy for the first couple of weeks, but she has grown to love him in a sibling kind of way (meaning she acts like she hates him, but she always initiates play with him.)
