Thank you I literally can’t find any similar hardware in Hermès anywhere online! A bit nervous about the maintenance tbhWOW! I've never seen a Mother of Pearl Hardware before! It's gorgeous!
I know, it must be very very rare! Is it exposed Mother of Pearl, or is there some sort of clear coating or glass or something on it to protect it? Also, when did you get this C18 MoP Buckle?
Looks like just the MoP itself! Will just treat it as other MoPs like the ones in Van Cleef for now… I got it a few months ago but it’s got a B stamp so last years bag
I'm assuming you leather it in a moist place or have a little cup or water near by for storage? What leather is the rest of the bag, swift?

Gorgeous leather! In my opinion, Sombrero looks like a hybrid between Swift and Box leathers. Yes, it's important to keep Mother of Pearl and Pearls in a moist environment as they can crack if too dry. Just curious, is this a blue box C18?

I figured, this seems extremely rare and special. Even the C18's with exotic buckles don't come in blue boxes. I'm curious of what the retail was on the C18 MoP, if you don't mind sharing? You PM if you prefer not say on the public thread
May I ask how your sombrero and MoP is holding up? I don't know much about sombrero leather and would love to know more about the MoP hardware.
