I have it in empriente turtledove color. I love it. I voted for black because I would be afraid of color transfer with the cream. The cream is beautiful though.
I vote monogram. I have a vintage 2006 monogram Montsouris I purchased new in store. It still looks amazing and always gets compliments. It is so versatile and unique. I will admit we haven’t carried it since the new one came out, but we will over spring break. I say “we” because even though it was purchased for me to wear with a toddler, both DH and DS have carried it as personal bag on vacations.

Although I love monogram bags the backpack is stunning in the black. I would never been able to carry the creme, I’d be scared of color transfer….
I am torn between the Black Empreinte vs the Mono/Black. I just can't decide. For the very small price difference, the all leather empreinte would be the practical choice but I just think it's too all black. I'd have to be more careful because it's all leather. Possibly heavier than the canvas?
Whereas with the canvas mono, it's more carefree. Plus I love the wine interior. I also think the contrast of black and canvas compliments the style of the backpack
Has anyone seen both in person? Or was there a reason why you chose one over the other? I haven't been able to see either in person so I'm really basing it all on photos and YouTube reviews. It seems like more have the empreinte version.

I have the black empreinte. I ordered both since I wasn't sure. The empreinte isn't heavy at all. I too liked the color of the interior on the mono, but not enough to keep it. I figured that all my bags are mono, DE, DA, except my empreinte PM, so I could use another solid bag. Yes, it is all black but the embossing gives it a little dimension. I like that it's maybe a little under the radar for certain situations or travel. I figured I can add some color with a bandeau on the handle, or by changing out the charm. For me, all leather with a small price difference was the way to go.
I have the canvas/black one. It appealed to me more and I didn't like the enpreinte version at all. It looks bland plus I feel everyone has the leather version because LV floods the stores with them whereas the canvas/noir is carried by fewer stores. The New Orleans, Canal Street seems to get them more regularly.
Mine looks "fat" because I store a clean towel in it for shape. It doesn't look bigger than the PSM but definitely holds a lot more.

I ordered turtledove online and ended up going into the store and came out with the monogram/black! All 3 turtledove bags I saw had scuff marks on them, and the empriente black just didn’t have that wow factor on me. I actually liked the monogram the most in store. I recommend trying them out to see which one looks the best on you.

It's funny because when I was in the store last week shopping for a friend, I tried on the Montsouris in empreinte black (this was something I wanted to get November 2021), and it looked really good on me! The monogram was the one that looked kind of "blah". So I think everyone's vibe/ style is different.
older model (some called vintage) monogram Montsouris wear so much better, the newer version worn off corners easily, older model can last decades and would still look like new if take good care of them.
