My first LV purchase is a montsouris in turtledove. The color is just stunning but the first one came with a scuff mark. I replaced it for another which unfortunately also has a tiny scuff mark and the one side is off… I’m going to exchange it for a 3rd (hopefully no issues) but I also can’t get the pochette Métis out of my head! I’m a first time mom so the backpack will be great to be hands free, and for travel. I’m worried about the pochette Métis is turtledove and color transfer since it will rub against my side. Which one would you choose?

I think for the leather bags, its inevitable for them to have scuffs but after sometime. if you plan to use this with kids and for travels, i think it will eventually have scuffs esp the corners. for me i would rather bring a canvas or nylon bags for travel with kids because it is lighter as well. I have a MK nylon backpack and always thought of carrying with my kids but i always end up using a tote bag because i can easily hang to my stroller as well. if its me, i will wait for the third one. if you still love it and find it perfect then keep, otherwise exchange if not 100% happy with it. the last time i exchanged a bag they told me i can only do it 3x max. check it with you store. the pochette metis looks good but im not fan of the S-lock especially when you are with kids. i heard that its hard to close it when its not really full. i have the clapton pm in raisin and the lock is much better in my opinion. Goodluck

I think you need both in your life. My Montsouris had a little mark on it as well but on the top flap. I didn't quite know what it was at first. I think it's a LV quality control issue. It may be best to go into the store to look at it.

I have the Montsouris in black and the pochette metis in turtledove. Maybe try that combination? I wouldn't like those scuffs. I don't have those or color transfer on my PM. I feel like the black is more carefree for the backpack?

the S lock on PM is much easier to lock when stuff is in the front pocket
