Montaigne MM vs GM?

Looking to get either a pre-loved Montaigne MM or GM as a travel bag. Thoughts on both? Love the 3 compartments. Would need to fit a 13” MacBook.

Personally love the look of the Montaigne but those small handles in the way of getting things in and out was sooooooo annoying. I sold my bag.

The MM won’t fit a laptop. For travel the GM would be better.

From LV. Not really. I ended up getting a Gucci and a Prada that worked best for travel.
Maybe the iena. Or totally if still available. Both have zip tops. I use my totally mostly for travel. I have mm wish I had gotten gm although not sure if it actually came in GM. Can’t remember.

I have the Iena MM and don’t use it much. I’d rather have a structured bag with 3 compartments.

The only bag that is big, sits upright without tipping, and has lots of pockets for me has been empreinte artsy. My computer does fit. I think it’s an 11in mac airbook though, plus iPad, water bottles etc. but that small opening on top is terrible as well. So never use it for travel. As you need both hands and have to set it completely down to get things in and out.
Wish LV would make an actual functional work bag. I think it would sale well. which is why I bought from another brand.

Have you ever considered Neverfull MM or GM. I have the MM and it fits my laptop, cosmetic pouch, chargers, travel documents, etc. These bags are common but super useful for traveling.

I have and sold the MM. Wasn’t a fan of the thin straps.

I have the GM and have used it for travel. Fits my 13 inch laptop perfectly. I don't find that the handles get in the way, but maybe that's a personal thing. I do find the strap too thin when you weigh the bag down. I switched to a Bandouliere strap which is perfect. I also love the that bag doesn't have the dreaded sharp or folded corners. So many bags have those now.

I love my gm!! I use It both for work and travel. I find it soooo handy for because of all the pockets and how easy it is to keep organized. Of all my designer bags, I get the most compliments for this beautiful bag!

Also have the GM and I think it’s perfect as work/ travel bag. The handles don’t bother me either. It’s beautiful, functional, and practical.
