Which do you think would look nicer - a 3-letter monogram cut-out fit into a circle rim or inside a heart shape? So sorry that I don't have pictures. My jeweler would be making it. The pendant is bigger than a quarter and smaller than a half-dollar. The Ross-Simmons site has a similar one to the monogram inside a circle. What do you think? I'm leaning towards the heart because in my neighborhood, everyone has the circle and I think I want to be different!

Even though the circle is more popular, I'd still go with that. BUT, I am not a heart person.......I do like the idea of the ^^sideway oval but that would depend on how you'd like to wear the pendant. Are you still considering having diamonds all the way around?

I believe they come in 14kt or SS...some people got 30% off, too. Many different choices, with or without diamonds, shapes, cutout or solid, etc. Good luck!

Thanks skyqueen! I also found an old thread that mentioned "Personalized Boutique". They have some monograms inside hearts too. I printed them and will bring to my jeweler this week.

While I do like a heart shape, I think the circle or oval will serve you better, it's more classic, and I almost want to say more grown up. No offense to the heart shape, but I feel that's better for someone on their Sweet 16.

But in the end, you have to get what you want.

Ok - I've been obsessed about this for the last several hours! I spoke to several good friends. I'm going to order the circle monogram in 14ct gold surrounded by the pave diamonds. My husband definitely does not care for it. He says that you can't make the letters out in the monogram. But I like it! Just have to save for a few weeks for the deposit. Hopefully, by the time it is made, I will have enough $ saved to cover the balance.

Sadly, my husband does not like either one. I don't know if I would enjoy it if he does not like it. What do those of you on TPF think about this dilemma?

well, I think he should be glad he doesn't have to wear it! :lolots:

get & wear what you like. I'm sure he wears some things that you don't like. he may grow to like it...he may not have good taste! ;)
