That is ridiculous that bags with wear are making it into the boutiques as “new!”
I have bags with sharp corners and they are fine. I’m going to play devils advocate and say some responsibility falls on the user to be aware of design flaws and do what they can to minimize wear, if wear bothers them. For example I never walk close to walls, never carry a bag against rough fabric, don’t set my bag down on anything with texture or paint to it, don’t put bag near anything that sprays or has alcohol in it, keep my bags clean and supple, and am mindful when carrying. Yes, things do happen still. But these are easy habits that require no extra effort, add up over use, and have kept my bags looking nice. My neverfull is my workhorse beat around bag and the difference is obvious.
